i just saw the FB page. damn. they quote in Euro. i suggest we go Steffen - they pick us from airport, bring to ferry, pick from ferry, all in one charge of RM 700, inc accom and diving. Steffen said he dont wanna charge too much... Malaysian-friendly prices. only thing is food.. scarce. maybe we can ask them to cater too.

for the TT will someone bring the dive flag so we can identify the group?

As for trips.. the local ones - Tioman is well-represented, and Perhentian too. might book Tioman trip for the Raya holidays Errr... Dr Barbarian, did u get any spots there? Dive Asia was there. Will go back on Sunday to look-see some more

7 days. go Mabul / Sipadan / Semporna . plenty dive sites. Selam sampai lebam.

p.s. i know how to lose weight. use wetsuit on land and sweat it out tried out my new one earlier. phew. hot hot.

Bus to Perhentian. hope for traffic. if not the bus driver drive the bus like race car. i was praying whole night and cant sleep. so thankful to arrive at Besut.

I dive with them before - enjoyable diving back then. mat salleh dm and instructors. not sure about now. ABC relaxing. will be there 26 July, Eco Divers.

how was it.. i hear Shah Alam pool is cold.

Lots of divers don't log. But i find writing our experiences down, and when i first started i learnt from those experiences too. I dont draw pictures (but i seen that before and it's cute!), i like the DC stamps, some are really nice. All these serves as memories of our great dive trips.

I've got two log books, and the third one is already in hand!

if once a year - rent your gear

2-3 trips a year - up to you, the choice. Got budget, buy. If not, carry on renting. It ain't that bad, dive centres will check and service their equipment. My stuff - sometimes collect dust for 9 months. so sad.

Cressi lightweight and travel friendly huh. Must check out. Now using IST Hope. Bulky. Was eyeing the Zeagle Scout too...

Tips is fine if the service has been worth it. Local dive centres, if there's a tip box, just put some in, extra for services rendered...

yep dont save too much on the cost. it's an extreme sport, where some choices can mean life or death. so a good instructor will get u prepared.
