Yea. Z5 looks is really quite high profile. Will make a lot of unnecessary eye catching event sweat.gif I encountered it a lot. When there is theft, your laptop will be the first target. doh.gif
But actually it is not as big as you imagined. It is thinner and smaller than the RS series but still get better cooling though. As Prince J mentioned. It is just slightly thicker than S5. I went to their showroom and compare before.
S5 is more suitable for professional look though, at least from a business man perspective

i have seen the z5 before, i recommended it to my student and he brought it to class.
generally, ppl who are alright with 15" wont find it big but most people (those in my class at least) generally use smaller laptops around 13-14" being on the go (most using Macs).
the Q3 seems to hit a really sweet spot here.

ps: personally, i did not like the Z5 design especially the internal color scheme

I'm with you in this one. I'm not the type to like the design like Z5 especially the internal color scheme. But not until the extend I hate it. S5 or those business looking laptop suits me better I think.

then again, you could customize outlook your Z5 to what you want (which is what I would do personally) which is imho one thing any illegear buyers should consider as a perk of a custom laptop

The skeleton is still the same design though. IIRC, during the time I purchase my Z5, there is no option to do custom painting to it yet. I think there is none also currently.
They only provide custom painting to Clevo model only I believe. The custom painting doesn't come cheap though sweat.gif

I think Rainmeter is just a normal software which change your "theme". I works on almost all windows OS. But just don't try to mess up with the registry if you're not sure about what to do. smile.gif

I been using rainmeter for many years on my previous computers. Simple and easy to use. Just go deviantart and search for themes that you like and install smile.gif

Hi Prince J, can the S5 support speedier RAM such as 1866 or 2133? If yes, does it require any setting? Will there be any performance improvement? Thanks.

Hi Alvintcn,

We tested in D series and D series do support 1866MHz RAM. Not sure about S series tho, will find a time to test it smile.gif

Hi, does anyone in Team Illegear know how to check if my fingerprint reader (RS-15) has malfunctioned or not? I tried swiping my fingerprint but it does not seem to register (if it registers, even when wrong thumbprint it would say wrong thumbprint. This one just doesn't say anything, as if it doesn't work anymore)

Hi hyperyouth,

Which OS version are you using? What's the driver you installed?

Fingerprint sensor driver is very tricky and less likely it's malfunction, please advise.
