Can the threadstarter define 'beginner' e.g. school leaver at Form 3, Form 5, Form 6, Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor, Master, PhD?
By the way, designations such as lawyers and chartered accountants are not for 'beginners' per se as they have additional requirements prior to being admitted as a member of the respective professions. |

banking....
they apparently accept anyone with a recognized degree of any field as their slave. goes up to 2k and more for basic and after confirmation i.e. increment by hundreds to one thousand depending on banks. good career prospect, throw away your degree once u get the job and re-learn everything about society. |

My advice to fresh grads: Don't make a big fuss about which job pays you the most. To put it bluntly, I'll call this short sightedness. Think about the medium to longer term la e.g. where do you aspire to be in 5 years time that sort of thing. As if you are going to have the best paying entry-level job and stick with it the rest of your life.
Look at it this way, all professionals ranging from accountants to doctors to lawyers...start off with peanuts. It is your attitude and aspirations which determines whether you deserve top dollars a few years down the road, when you have done some actual work to be evaluated. Otherwise, it is mere wishful thinking at this very moment. This post has been edited by Creamer: Jul 19 2006, 03:49 PM |

Even if you're from a university like Imperial College. The pay is very good even for a fresh graduate. Have you heard of Goldman Sachs? Morgan Stanley? Merrill Lynch? These institutions are also very prestige conscious. As such, it is very difficult for a common university graduate to make it. |

There is no such thing as most high paid job, do you really expect your boss to pay you 3k above for a freshie? Maybe yes for some rare case, but just think, if you are boss, will you hire a new guy with such high cost?
I think the most highly paid job is doing sales, becoz there is no limit on how much you can earn. Of coz, sales do not hv bottom limit also. |
