currently eyeing that GTX980 AMP! Extreme for my 2015 post CNY build... hopefully something comes up and maybe more choices?

so far, in my opinion, the ZOTAC AMP! Extreme looks the slickest,
coz they no longer use their err... orangey fans (looks kinda cheap to me...  )

Hmm... MSI.... their lightning edition eh? hahaha.... seems they really reserve the "Lightning" for the highest of end card possible

hmm.... what is the difference between AMP! Omega and AMP! Extreme apart from the Carbon ExoArmor-like case?

Their base clocks and boost clocks are the same?    only aesthetics different? 
oh.... then same principle goes for PSU then, coil whine = manufacture defects = RMA-able 
so you mean based on your past experiences, reference cards are highly possible to be plagued by coil whine issue compared to custom cooler solutions?

Sorry for being a slowpoke but wow great prices from nvidia this time.. The customed 980 so damn beastly only cost rm2100!! Not like 780 when released was more than rm2500

Got bored this morning. Went out and bought this while waiting for its twin brother to fly in from the states.

hmm, plan to dissemble my gpu - Asus. on the 1 of the screw, got 1 white round sticker on it. i think its an indicator to see whether its removed or not for warranty purpose.

so um, is it safe to remove and re-stick it?

i have a habit of not trusting manufacturer tim 
but honestly, every few mth/ half-year i tend to clean my PC thoroughly, include re-apply Tim.
1st time came across got sticker on the screw as my previous 2 sapphire gc did not have so.

in other word, tangan gatal.
n since now i'm running it on naked, even at idle its around 45C 

You essentially know you're a lazy **** if you buy a shiny new graphics card at 10am and at 8am the next day still have absolutely no motivation to install it.

The only thing I can think of now is going to the Justsoy shop nearby, buying taufufa and yau char kwai but that SOB only buka kedai at 10am.

hm let say ur interested in getting GTX 980... should i go Zotac GTX 980 Extreme(top teir zotact 980 series) or just Reference GTX 980 ... ? yes choosing to get Zotac 3year+2 year is no brainier a winner brands to get for Nvidia gpu....

i'll go for extreme as the ref cooler is not titan cooler sadly

Well, not sure what that sticker is. most probably is to detect whether the gpu has been opened anot. but hell, 5C drop after replacing the stock tim with mx-4 
fking worth the dismantle    now at around 40C on idle. (yeah, i am a temp freak to get as low as possible and to OC as high as possible.)

Hmm, I am in Indonesia.

Saw it listed in one of the computer shops and I am quite interested since it uses tri-fan cooler which is likely to be similar as the Artic Cooling one.

I like the cooler on Inno3D graphic cards as they are generally from Artic Cooling.

I have replaced the coolers for all my graphic cards since Geforce 8800GT with Artic Cooling GPU coolers.

i dont even...why many companies go with red theme?. 

980ti might be far off my budget range :3 My GTX680 cant achieve 60 fps smooth for AC4 Black flag. only hover about 55 at ultra setting. But yeah might wait a bit see if 980 gonna go down or not. But my point is, is it worth it to sell my 680 and get 970, and in future possibly sell 970 get 980/980ti
