But it was dying off , because the game isn't getting enough attention. Too much delay and slow updates from the developers.

The game is recently getting ready to launch beta in Russia , though I assume not many of us can read Russian ...

The original scheduled release date was from end of year 2013 to beginning of 2014 . But the plan had been delayed . At one point , it was believed the plan was totally abandoned .
Hence there weren't any people talking about this . Game also had numerous MAJOR ISSUES during its update but hasn't actually receive any support from the developers for awhile .
The English Localization / Publisher team has recently flew to Korea to communicate with the dev and confirmed the game is still being released.




You remember wrong then . Even the original game in Korea use a F2P system that allows players to go up to level 50 . But you need to pay for the housing system and labor points regeneration.
As for the EU/US plan , it is still undecided . Although according to this article , it may use a special charging system that is commonly seen in China MMO , neither f2p or P2P.

yea i tried this game on RU server.
using public vpn since my vpn dont have RU server.
dont get to pvp yet but for pve it's still playable.
imo it does not live up to what i've expected from all the hype.
might try again on NA server when it launch later but i dont think i'll stick around much.

I may try this game but I'm 90% sure I not going to play for long, they said is a F2P game but a lot of things force you to subscribe ($15 US), as a F2P player, you cant own a house, farm, cant post at Auction House, and then the labor point(like energy) mine ore, open drop need labor point, labor point regen low as hell if you are a F2P player.... but that's just me, maybe you can have fun, good luck.

I just tried the beta and I have to say that having come from playing MMORPG games like Lineage 2 & TERA, I am seriously finding it hard to keep myself hooked to this one. I know it's different game engines hence totally different overall feel, but I guess it's just not meeting my own personal expectations for an MMORPG.

But of course, this game would definitely win in terms of the number of different things you can do e.g. building a house, crafting, the stories, the quests, etc compared to the games I have played in the past - so do try it, it might just meet your fancy.

I got the same feeling as you.. The housing system, crafting, stories is somewhat good.. but then, the main thing for me is the battle system. It is point click system kinda makes the experience for PVE and PVP boring. If only they could change the battle system like Dragon Nest, Tera, Or Black Desert , the game would score 10 out 10!

I am selling the $49.90 silver founder pack i bought last month, convert to MYR is around rm160, and i just want to get back at rm120. The reason for selling is simply because I have no time to play after they release.

Although as free player you still get 5 labor points per 5 minutes as oppose to 1 point per 5 minutes in RU... it's still a damn annoying and monetized aspect of the game.

Everything needs to be free. Let's all stick with Runescape.

That said, I think the game isn't living up to its hype. But it's pretty decent for the average monthly price tag. Never really liked the idea of ganking in MMOs, though.

Ping is quite noticeably high on my archer without tunneling service like Battleping.

how much the subcription for the battleping permonth?

I got my key on MMORPG.com, there was still about 9K key left there two days ago, not sure about now.

Ping was horrible and extrememly laggy with normal connection, 300-400ms seen on task manager. I used my tunneling tool to Singapore server and it drop to 100ms... Can't verify if that latency is correct or not but certainly feels a lot more responsive.

Yea the game is seriously hyped too much. The Labor Point is a serious annoyance especially for free players. OK the game try to limit things so you make strategic decision instead of hoarding everything, OK that can be understood. But at the same time, it does feel extremely punishing as of current state. I didn't remember it took 100 LP just to craft 1 quest gear back when I tried out RU server that only have 1LP/5-min as oppose to this 5LP/5-min. Despite the more LP regen, I felt way way more depressed playing on this English beta server.

you forgot to mention you cant regen your LP when you offline if you are a F2Per, there are rumor they got an AFK kicker system later in game so you cant AFK 24/7, good luck play as a F2Per...

I heard someone said 45 minutes.... And also the LP is shared on the whole account instead of extra character with individual LP...

Just try AA when it launches since its free anyway then you can consider if its worth
the monthly sub or not, if its not you can always play for free

As for me, the most important thing that makes or break the game for me is the latency to

Is the PVP race based? Like a guild needs to be composed of one or two race only and they PVP other races?

Tbh,the only way for casual player to play without much problems like land and etc is to join a guild with lots of patron and helpful one that is willing to share their farm with you and of cuz the same timezone.

If you are planning to play with just 2-3 of your friend non patron and expecting to compete with other group of people better not play just wait or go other game.

Basically your own continent player can pk you if they decide to do it.
The other continent people can pk you you are automatically the enemy of west if you are east and vice versa.

The later on update will allow guild to form a nation that both west/east can join and become allies.


Anyway there is a discussion about player from oceanic/sea picking one server to play in instead of scattering around all the other server.

I've browse through the website and it only shows 3 packages ( Archeum, Gold & Silver )

I've read somewhere its around usd 15/mth i think...same as rift. As far as i see,
sub is not required if you are in a trustworthy guild since you can use your
guilds farm & house. You can also buy APEX with in-game gold at the AH as APEX is the same
as a form of credit to xchange for 30days patron pass.

Usually for mmo's,we are more suitable to play under north america(NA) region.
During cbt 3 & 4 i played at Naima(NA) server get around 200-230, playable but abit laggy when alotta ppl. You can
opt to subscribe to Battleping for reduced latency if you want better gameplay

Patron pricing is identical to Rift. (15$/month) or buy APEX either thru AH or from
players selling them in-game using in-game gold or As soon as game launches, founder packs will be removed.
Starter packs will be added, including a few items and patron status that are designed to give people a nice and easy start.

There is an in-game tax system that is implemented in the game. Once you run out of patron status you will not be able to pay your taxes, after two weeks your land will get destroyed.
However you can spend in game currency to buy APEX to get patron status again, if you are unable to afford buying another month of patron status!

anyone tried plying in NA server with battleping?
whats the latency, do mind sharing which line ur using as in unifi 10/20mbps

I'm only on 8mb stimix, but i read from forums someone played from new zealand using
BP can get to around 167 in NA server. Btw you can try battleping for free, they got trial.
Choose either texas or west coast servers

Hey guys, just curious...if I make a western character (elf/nuian), will I be able to travel freely on the east continent? Will I be PK'ed freely?

I read abit on western vs eastern continent...and from what I read, I think eastern continent has much more interesting landscape. But...I really prefer the elf/nuian race...and I think exploration is one of the most, if not the top most, attraction of ArcheAge to me.

Anyway to avoid being PK'ed while exploring in east continent as a westerner?

Haven't tried that lol but you will be pvp-ed freely even ppl from your own faction can gank you.

Both sides have safe zones that are safe. Red names can come over and run around in your safe zones,
but they can't attack unless you attack them first & vice-versa.

Its possible to xplore if they don't attack you first but you can't actually tell them that you are on a
sight-seeing tour as our chat bubble will appear garbled to them

If you plan on going over to the other continent, be prepared for pvp or use 'Shadowplay'??

If you looking for a guild do join east because i think most of the SEA/AUS/Oceanic guild near to our timezone one is in East Continent.


For those who is going to join on wednesday,I can tell you you better create a new character in Kyrios then just wait for a few weeks.

The server que for patron is horrible as hell unless you play during non peak time around 4pm-ish.if you are F2P player goodluck and you might just quit because of the que.

Why the heck is everyone going East Continent?
I like the look of the Elf so I created my char on West Already lv20...could have been higher if it weren't due to those stupid queue, and intermittent gaming session due to real life...

Anything special/advantageous about East Continent?

Please don't tell me it's because of those Firran's cat (tiger?) ear........the character model isn't even anywhere near cute...plus there's no fluffy paw, but only fingered claws!

"Disaster" is a kind word.
A lot of people are calling it a big scam and worst headstart ever, just read the forums

It's almost the same situation back when FFXIV is launched.
Difference:
FFXIV stopped digital sales immediately & increased server.
Trion? LoL. This says a lot about the kind of publisher you are dealing with.
So yea, worst headstart/launch ever, I gotta agree, even FFXIV pales in comparison.

I really like the game, the only complains I have:
1) Long-queue, over 2k sometimes, over 1 hour waiting.
2) Occasionally dc while in-queue or in-game, which puts me back into the long queue...it's a vicious cycle and very time-wasting.
If your playing-session is less than 2 hour, but if you need to go through the login process, then just take my advice: don't waste your time, go do other stuff.

So, advice to everyone: try not to logout once you log in...seriously.
And, uhm...brace yourself for actual F2P launch...I think I may not even want to try login, such a huge waste of time.

And play the game after 1-2 weeks after launch

I would recommend you to go to new server because there is no more land in Kyrios.

and the F2P que will kill you.

I played FFXIV when it launched, gotta admit that there were server overload too.
But they handle it pretty good.
Since like Jigoku said , no more land, maybe should start in a new server.

If you are guys are wondering what time for us its about 17th of September 1am our time.

People i warn you already dont bother playing in Kyrios if you are looking for land or harvest moon style of game.

If you are only interested in PVP and had a big guild that would help you with land problem then sure go ahead and roll in Kyrios.

2 questions
Owning a land and without owning a land makes big differences?
We can make much more money with a land?

Owning a land gives you a lot of advantages in the game.

You will definately earn more money with a land as long as you constantly plant it
Your will need land to secure your plantation basically player cant touch your stuff inside your land. (Illegal farm is a way to go but too risky and not worth the time)
Land can be used a storage area for tradepack.
Land also provide house which you can use for crafting and storage basically you will have easier access.
Land provides materials that you can farm and need for lvling your profiency lvl.
Crafting would be easier and end game gears all come from crafting.

IMHO without owning a land Archeage is basically not archeage anymore sadly.It will be just like any typical mmo questing and pretty much that's it.
Regardless of what arguments others will tell me that you can live without owning a land.I might as well go and play other game why bother wasting my time here right?

Unless Trion open more server up it is quite impossible for everyone to own the basic of 8x8 and 16x16 farm per person.
Since a lot of people are abusing the system to own 3-5 land to earn more money and stuff.

Opening more server would also means some server will become ghost town due to lack of player.Too many player in a server would mean no land for everyone.
Tough call here imo you either go to a server with less player with ghost town and still get land.
or
A server with lots player till you need to que for hours and get no land but everywhere is full of action pvp and so on.

Most go for Firran because of its racial traits reduce fall dmg by 30%.
The server i am in most of the big SEA guild such as Synapse are on east continent.

Thats why i am going there to play with them
