I know how you feel. I got my Nokia X and the next day they announced Asus Zenfone series.
I am a big fan of Asus.

However, Nokia service is really good. They hv replaced my phone with a new one last week. I am still testing it, sometimes calls still get answered in my pocket. They called to follow up yesterday.

Overall, great service but no so great product.

I got this info from GSMarena and it works!
It is a cross platform whatsapp version.

official whatsapp from playstore works just fine. it just showed device not supported when u open it directly, but if u create a shortcut or widget of any whatsapp contact or group on homescreen then u can open and use it from there.

Gotta make my reviews now. The phone is awesome especially for the price of RM399. The interface looks nice and is quite smooth eventhough it takes quite a long time to boots up. The battery is quite fine. The camera is moderate and is for beginners. Overall it is a good phone for people who wants to make simple phone calls, simple Internet surfing, or Whatsapp, but not for passionate phone usage.

Some words for Nokia XL battery and charger.

This phone can get me around 2 days of battery on average usage, I surf more than talk.
During the first few days after getting this phone, because of intensively Wi-Fi usage and phone interaction, it can only give me about a day of battery.

My current phone profile:
- Vibrate
- No sound when touch.
- No keypad tones
- No lock screen sound.
- No vibrate on touch.
- Manual brightness, set to around 15%.
- Screen sleep after 1 minute.
- No glance screen.
- Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth turn on when on demand.
- Does not switch to airplane mode when sleeping.
- Location always turn on.

A 750mA charger comes together with your purchase of Nokia XL, and it can full charge your phone in around or less than 5 hours. I did not really count the time for it to full charge, just an estimation. The charging time depends on the current phone usage while charging.

Note/Warning on battery and charger for Nokia XL:
================================
When your phone gave you the final warning on low battery, which is the 4% mark, you have to be better to feed it soon.
Why I say so is because Nokia XL checks the battery voltage to indicate if the battery is healthy. Normally if a battery has voltage that lower than their defined threshold, then the battery is considered dead.
Nokia XL will refuse to charge a battery which is considered dead, or has voltage lower than the expected limit.

So when you still continue to use your phone when the battery level is at or below 4% mark, your phone might switch it off itself after sometimes. If you insist to turn your phone back on, you might be able to do so for one or two times.
After that, due to the battery voltage lower than the expected limit, your phone won't turn on and refuse to charge.

If you happened to get into this scenario, be calm first. Take out your battery and let it rest for a few minutes, over time the chemical inside the battery will slowly raise the battery voltage when the battery is not using.

When you feel the time is right, plug in your battery again and then quickly connect your charger to see if your phone able to get charged again. If yes, thanks to Jesus or Allah or Buddha. If still no sign of charging, repeat take out battery, wait, put back and charge. If still not happening, then you might have to use manual charging.

I personally face this problem where my phone refuse to charge the battery even after a few hours of resting, because of the voltage went down so low that even the chemical inside won't help.
So what I did was I took out my camera desktop charger, which label 4.2V DC output, connect + to +, - to - terminal using crocodile clips and charge for few minutes. After the voltage rose to certain level, my phone finally able to get charged again after I put back my battery into the phone.
I seriously would not recommend this way because it involved some electrical skills, therefore I advise to charge your phone when the battery is low, to prevent the battery from over discharge.

One last thing is always use a charger which can give equal or more than 750mA of DC current at 5V, especially when you are using the phone while charging. If not you will face the same problem as I have above, then you might have to perform manual charging. 500mA is just not enough to charge the phone while the phone is in use, which is why the charger came together with your phone is rated at 750mA. Laptop and PC USB mostly giving 500mA, so becareful with it.

nokia killed symbian.

The story was nokia was stubborn when android was running 1ghz on their phones nokia was still 600mhz

When android was 1gb ram nokia was about 256mb to 512mb ram.

so when android getting famous they still hang on to symbian. Practically if u been there u watch nokia die slowly until now dead di.

I had a Lumia 520 and I was really impressed with the offline map feature. When travelling it's great especially at remote places with no phone coverage and also save on data roaming costs.

Unfortunately I lost the phone so I went to buy a Nokia X as it also has the offline map feature, has dual sim and is cheaper than the Lumia 525 biggrin.gif So far so good, just going to keep it stock as all the apps I need to use are available on Nokia Store.

My Nokia X with data on gets about 2.5 - 3 hours of SOT. Is this what you guys are getting too.

* SOT - screen on time

What I do...some facebook, surf a bit, whatsapp, a few calls and screen brightness at lowest of widget. Sometimes a couple of Sudoku games, don't even play angry birds anymore.

When I use the regular radio (with screen off) it can last a long time. Can't remember exactly how long because I didn't use till the battery runs out.
I don't stream music fr internet as I hv a limited data plan
