The update still a long wait for our region.

if anyone could capture the ota zip and upload it, its just the matter of manual force flash from stock recovery. doesn't even need rooting.

ES File Explorer seems too complex for me.  rclxub.gif

try xplore. its abit orthodox tho, dual panel filemenager like norton commander in the good ol' windows days. but i really liked it. can do root operation too if phone rooted.

*
surprisingly i got update on my newly bought nokia x after power on for the first time, even both simcard slot still empty. power on, saw some noob tutorial pop up on screen, connected to wifi and got update notification. updated from 10.x.x (cant remember exact build number) to 1.1.2.2.

The contest was tiring because we were bombarded with too much information.
exactly this. thread become wall-of-text and spam-of-youtube whistling.gif

Weren't these thread suppose to wall of text ? I mean like how are we suppose to communicate or share information without text?
*
sure, but not spammy, full of technical jargon, robotic long text no one bother to read.
communication? this is communication. u replied to me, i replied back. u ask, i answered, short and simple not long and spammy.

now let me ask anyone who actualy got the phone and use it, how long the battery can stands with your everyday use? how much screen on time?

and is it just me alone annoyed by nokia way of answering and rejecting calls? when tucked in pocket, calls got rejected or answered accidentally due to swipe up and and down for answering and rejecting calls sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif
i'm not using flipcase tho, prefer my phone naked.

Even though I do not have a Nokia X but if I am not wrong, the problem about Nokia X answering and rejecting calls automatically are faced by quite a number of users out there. Nokia Malaysia customer service advise us to use a flip case to solve this problem for temporary
*
i do hope thats only their temporary suggested solution, not hoping us to use thirparty case and be done with it when they can easily fix it.
i've seriously considered flashing custom rom. the design bug is really, really annoying shakehead.gif

Thanks for the info. Still thinking between this and the Lumia 520/525 as a second phone. Would really love to stick with Android for a more "Streamline" approach.
*
dont expect much "androidness" with nokia x series. nokia changed many things that most of us knew android for, eg no home and menu button, notification pulldown being useless as all notification goes to stupid fastlane, can't multitask easily due to no home button etc.. hell it doesn't even got googleplay by default smile.gif

i used flashify and used wrong file or corrupted, now its dead. Still no way to revive it.
*
even good people of xda never recommend flashify. i only trust good ol' fastboot and cwm recovery.

official whatsapp from playstore works just fine. it just showed device not supported when u open it directly, but if u create a shortcut or widget of any whatsapp contact or group on homescreen then u can open and use it from there.
