QUOTE(bdcyl @ Mar 6 2014, 09:29 AM) So u use this screen protector...? How is it? Bought it shortly after launch last year . OCTOBER 2013 i think. Still using it with no issue . Not as nice as spigen ones but it is also cheaper than the Spigen ones. Showing signs of scratches and lines already but if not fussy just go with the cap ayam 10 ringgit ones will be better for your wallet. I think the shops selling glass type already. And more people are going for Glass since it is more durable. But i am firm beliver in nothing broken , nothing new will come so will always be getting the normal SP. To me i will continue to use it until there is a big scratch that i cannot ignore.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Mar 6 2014, 09:50 AM) Actually personally having so many Android phones and iphones and present Windows 1520 , I had never believe in using SP>>>It is to me a total waste of money. Most modern smartphones comes with scratch resistant glass and unless you purposedly scratch it very very hard the chance of a scratch is not possible. Normal stuffs as keys, coins in your pocket will never scratch it unless you have sand particles inside your pocket. I even demo on youtube scratching a Note 2 display with scissors, blade dragging it across display and there was no scartch.. You can find many such similar youtubes on display glass being scratch by hard objects and all will show no scratches SP is for those who are really kiasu I'd say and since many users uses a covered case, SP is not useful at all. Out of curiosity and seems to be the in thing, I have decided to try on a Momax Glass SP ( my first one) on my previous Note 3 but subsequently removed it after a week as I just cannot stand to have another layer of material on the glass. I also tested one glass SP ( cheap brandless type ) on my XZU but I sold off the phone about a week later . Both convinces me the glass SP is not necessary at all Pessimists will urge you to protect your phone with a SP is a must ... so follow their advise if you so wish to.. they will argue why save the RM50-100 since the phone is already so expensive. Seriously I would use the money to buy a better case than a piece of flimsy plastic sheet SP is a big profitable business and target to those users who are "scared" that they precious phone will get scratch!! Glass sp not only for protect your phone from scratch.1 day u drop your phone and the screen face down then u will know u need it or not.the main reason is to protect your screen from break and not for scratch This post has been edited by samsungXP: Mar 6 2014, 01:30 PM

Face down cheap sp also works la. If u drop then u step on it then kick RM500 sp also can't save the sides.
The reason glass crack because of the pressure at the side of the glass

No screen protector will save a screen from Breaking in a fall. If u know even a bit about the nature of any tempered glass, let it be the screen or the sp, they are most vulnerable to forces from the edges. 1 hit will suffice to crack it. Therefore, sp is not to prevent breaking. It is to prevent scratches.

QUOTE(antt00 @ Mar 6 2014, 08:04 AM) Either way to root is the same. Easier is just to use the ML2 firmware. You do not need to upgrade to another JB rom after that just straight away upgrade to kitkat. 1) If you use OTA, you will lose root and will never be able to root again without tripping knox 2) This is the ONLY method to root and keep knox. Follow steps in page 1 post 9. 3) Your phone will not boot if you use this method. You need the new bootloader to boot kitkat and if you use it with URDLV you trip knox. So either you have a non-bootable phone or a knox trip phone. Your only option to root without tripping knox is spend RM18. After that more headache to come if you like to further mod the phone especially if you get into a bootloop while flashing stuff. Thanks I will use ML2 firmware to root and then use MOP. but u mentioned this method OPTION 2: MANUAL URDLV METHOD: will trip knox in this post then why u still keep it in page 1 post 9 under IF YOU ARE ALREADY ROOTED AND STILL DON'T WANT TO TRIP KNOX

Not Kitkat. Its still applicable for Jellybean rom.

Dropped at the edge of the phones
Dropped face down All the 3 phones are using Glass SP , premium brand , SGP + Glassview . Friends's phone , not some Google images or some sites with bias glass sp with bad reviews . There's a reason manufacturers dont even dare to claim their Glass SP prevent your phone's screen from crack if dropped .

SP is for those people who lack of security My Note 3 and G2 still naked Maybe because I use Slim Armor View, that's why it's more protected.
