QUOTE(UsernameCopied @ Aug 28 2019, 11:04 AM) Anyone know what brand is the original shock absorber? If not mistaken was under Showa thailand I need to replace mine. Nearly 8 years old. Sry noob question but is there a strut mount and bump stop for the back of the car or only in front? Car has 130k km. Do I need to replace springs or can still use the old one? i replaced mine with KYB Shock, but still using stock spring on it |

QUOTE(Thrust @ Sep 8 2019, 02:23 PM) I don't think it is that expensive for the original Honda Showa absorber. This Hingan Quoted me Last time I bought the 2 rear pieces from Hingan, it only cost RM110 a piece. The front will be slightly more expensive probably RM200 - RM220 a piece. Front absorber RM 280 per pc Front absorber bump stopper RM 38 per pc Front absorber mounting only have OEM RM 28 per pc Front absorber bar bush RM 20 per pc Rear absorber no stock, order RM 360 per pc |

QUOTE(Thrust @ Sep 18 2019, 07:58 PM) I asked them to quoted me absorber set for per sideBasically more or less when you change the absorbers, might as well change those parts that tag along to ensure you wont open for 2nd time |

QUOTE(Milo_O @ Feb 6 2020, 10:02 AM) I have made a brief googling on the available absorber for City TMO. I got quoted for Monroe front & rear absorber cost me RM740 which not include labour yet .. Kayaba - best bang for buck (IMO) Showa - Stock absorber APM - Didnt really look in to it GAB - Didnt really look into it Sachs - Design failure. Not selling anymore for TMO Monroe - A lot of ppl using but no feedback/review. Price wise is around RM200/pc IMP Improve - Not much information found online TEIN - Expensive I have decided to go for KYB but once i saw your post, it makes me think twice. Originally going for Showa but expensive around RM260/pc Showa slightly expensaive , about RM1.2k front & rear absorber but comfort ride too many choices but no review/feedback from user also hard to decide which brand to go |
