The spare parts are not from Japan. Most are local or Thai made. It's just an excuse to delay the installation.

I changed mine (Denso starter motor & additional grounding cables) back in 2011. Once replaced with new starter motor, never once encountered engine start issue.  thumbup.gif
*
how much did that cost you? the starter motor?

why la honda never call my car for replacement...i pon nak free jugak...now warranty over oredi..hahaha
*
when i kena last time, they always say battery issue, changed my batt once, thats bout 10 - 11 months towards end of warranty, then they added thichker grounding, like 4 piece additional grounding, but that time was thikning to claim battery, not starter motor ...

dont buy philip lah, last time i use crystal vision, RM2++ cant recall.. only last about 13 months.. now using osram cool blue intense, Rm120 only..

edit : crystal vision whiter and look more garang.. osram cbi a bit yellow..
*
yeah the osram cbi is not bad ... color temp is nice if you look at the bulb but the intensity of the light is bad ... its like not having the headlight unit on ...

best to stick to the night breaker or those philips extreme vision

else go install a projector retrofit

If you go outside service, then you can service at 10k once, no need 5k service

Ya, still under warranty,  only 1 year plus
*
if you want to maintain a service interval of above 5k, use premium engine oil

premium semi synthetic = 7-8k
fully synthetic = 10k above, but in our driving condition, stick to 10k la

ya, but still, need to follow Honda schedule which is service 5k once  sad.gif

Currently using fully synthetic since got discount 25% with voucher, just different RM1x between semi and fully
is this good to be use for full if 5k service once or should change semi??
*
once you are no longer covered by warranty la ... unless you still go back la

Yes, they never asked me to change at 60k and until now still in good condition. No screaming metal sound yet, the pad probably still thick. Haha.
*
For me they did ... was around 50 or 60k ... but it was for the rear ones ... i told them seriously ... not the front one?

i did not change... after 100k i went and service outside and it was around 105k km that my workshop said the front ones should be changed

and was i asked them to check the back one, and was told there is a lot but recomend to change next service as that pair of rear brakes is about 4 years edy, though its still useable, but recomend to change

*
didnt changed ... front was 400+ and rear was 300+ as per quoted back in 2013 or 2014

anyone know how to remove the stain / mark on the dashboard? caused by the non slip mat sticking to the dashboard.

*
I kena this as well, when i redid my tinting - that guy flipped the mat and placed it at the edge, only like 3 hours later i found out, the thing totally gone and left this huge black spot ... until today cannot remove ... thats 3 years ago

it's caused by the melted non slip mat. wondering if we put the car under hot sun for a while, will the substance melt again and we can simply wipe it out hmm.gif
*
no was doing the tinting indoor, the dude moved the gecko pad out of the way but left it upside down on the dashboard...

but i have another case of the same gecko pad on the missus waja, and the thing melted ... scraped it off ... left a huge black stain... that was after 1 year melting away and it started to drip black stuff after melting ... messy

My apology, I means the light green bottle, SN0W20.

The red bottle , I will use only after the warranty is over otherwise it is waste cos change every 5K.
*
if you are servicing outside, there are a lot more other good grade oil you can use

i am using liqui moly mos 10/40 and i am still servicing it every 5k

if you go for the fully syn, i am sure u can do more than 7k per interval

you dont have to stick to honda oils, u can try torco, q8, millers and of course liqui moly

check here for a rough estimate on the other brands price

It screeches at the last point when your car is about to stop? I installed brembo pads too & it behaves like this. I will switch back to Nissin brake pads next time.
*
hahaha yeah at the last point just before it grinds to a halt ... how much u got yours bro? mine was 220, bout the same as nissin pads from outside shops ... thats why i went for it ... thats the downside on top of the slightly apparent brake dust ...

I bought it for rm110 only... The brembo OEM rotor got it for RM290.I thought brembo should have good quality material but the screeching sound is rather anoyying.

I will switch back to Nissin next time.
*
THe brake pad got 2 type apparently, i was wondering back then why 1 is 100+ and the other 200+

the 100+ box is just red and the 200+ the box is different ...

Honda SC told me my next service have to change pad edy.. My next service is at 85k. Reasonable to change it? Since it feels fine, no metal sound yet.
*
get someone who knows how to check and take a look, when was servicing mine back then they told me to change my back brake pads at 65k km

i asked why so early when front still ok, he says its normal that back wears out faster(no joe, thats what he told me) doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

i finally changed my front at 100k, this is because its been almost 3.5 years since i got the car ...

the back one still ok, but will change it for the same reason as above as well ... maybe in the next service at 110k km
