Honda Actmar Maybe they see me still a kid easy to potong So basically only those items that are on the list found in Honda's website are mandatory? I believe it's balancing + alignment? Mum kept saying how stupid I am to go to sc and keep boasting how cheap it is to do it 'out' Add on: they called me during service say battery weak, add another RM199 for battery change tell them - standard maintenance only ... if any of the non standard things are done or replaced, make a big fuss and have it rectified ...

QUOTE(Thrust @ Oct 17 2014, 09:55 PM) Sure or not bro? Because cabin pollen filter was listed in their scheduled maintenance unlike those add on engine cleaner etc.. I just worry later aircond rosak SC might not allow warranty claim. If you dont trust me, then you mah go back and change lo for that RM130 thing from SC and the RM50 one u change urself ... Hmm to think of it - if Honda says only can use Shell ... everyone will follow also?

bro, why dont u check with speed mod and see if they have the VTTR ones for honda city or not https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=231...&type=1&theaterif he doesnt have it, then this mudah seller has it http://www.mudah.my/SB+VTTR+VARIOUS+Oversi...ts-30022369.htmQUOTE(Shreddy @ Oct 27 2014, 11:39 AM) Hi Everyone, My car just hit 139k few days back. I just replaced my front and rear brake pads (Original Honda - Nissin). Problem I having now is during braking at high speed (Above 100kmph), I will have vibration but not at low speed (below 80kmph). I have skimmed my disc rotor few months back because of a very bad vibration at any braking speed. Now this is a problem again. Heard that the original rotor is very prone to bend due to the current weather of rain and hot. Just wondering anyone here have purchase a new rotor (original Honda), based online it is Bosch brand. How much is the expected damage? Or should I change to Brembo (expected price?) with a new pair of brembo brakes This post has been edited by earl-ku: Oct 27 2014, 08:14 PM

QUOTE(Thrust @ Nov 2 2014, 12:51 PM) Hi Shreddy, have you change your spark plugs already since the OEM plugs have to be replaced at 100,000km. If yes, what plugs have you replaced them with? I got my spark plugs changed at 100k, initially had him took it out to check, it appears to be still useable according to the mechanic, the pointy tips no longer that sharp from what i saw he says its still useable but will increase fc and not smooth, so just went ahead and changed mine, but they dont have ngk iridium, went with denso iridium $160 for 4 piece after changing, you can really feel the response during acceleration is faster This post has been edited by earl-ku: Nov 3 2014, 01:44 AM

QUOTE(Thrust @ Nov 3 2014, 08:17 AM) So the oem plugs can really last till 100,000 km. my car only clock in at 52,000 km now.. Still a long way to go before replacing the plugs it says 100k replacement on the honda website, and also as recomended by NGK but most says performance will drop past 80k km usage QUOTE(Shreddy @ Nov 3 2014, 03:09 PM) I replaced mine at 100k. original ngk iridium laser.. quite pricey.. not wrong should be about rm200++ for 4. i looked for the original ones and its 180, and most say the NGK are the same both iridium

QUOTE(Thrust @ Nov 3 2014, 09:43 PM) The original plugs in our City uses NGK or Denso? A lot of people says Denso iridium are the better plugs if compared to NGK iridium. Originals are NGK Iridium Hmmm as long as they are new ... they should be good

QUOTE(Thrust @ Nov 4 2014, 07:04 AM) Brake pads i high recommend to use back Nissin. I changed to brembo & it is noisy but braking power is slightly better than Nissin. As for atf, best to use back honda dw1 fluid. QUOTE(mobeus @ Nov 4 2014, 04:35 PM) can you define noisy? i use back Nissin but the screeching sound is horrible. sakit telinga weh kalau bukak tingkap. will ask shop to check during next tyre rotation where did you both got your nissin pads from? mobeus, if your pads are ori, likely ur rotor gone case ... maybe stone stuck between the pad and rotor This post has been edited by earl-ku: Nov 4 2014, 09:23 PM

QUOTE(Thrust @ Nov 4 2014, 09:53 PM) I am using Brembo pads. Its a bit noisy when the car is coming to near stop. That's why I am recommending you to stick to the OEM Nissin pads. i am looking at pumatec(280) and rapid stop(240), both around the same price as the stock nissin(190) ... QUOTE(hidz7 @ Nov 5 2014, 01:59 PM) Hi all, new user of 5G Honda City here. Bought a used one, year 2010 however very lucky because the mileage is just a little over 13.5k km. And of course, the ride also still feels like new (I drove my sister's 5.5G City which she bought new before, and it feels the same). So I have to say I am happy with my car. However, I have a question here for you guys. Since my car is no longer under warranty, so I just serviced the car outside. For 20k km service, should I change the transmission oil as well?plus the car is already 4years, do you think I should change the auto transmission oil? And if yes, May I know what is the type/brand of auto transmission that I should use? Thanks in advance guys You can definitely service it outside as its cheaper, look into the honda site under maintenance page and see what needs to be changed based on the mileage, but this car since its so low on mileage, its like been sitting there for some time as when you get the car, everything which is fluid, just change ... not gonna be expensive engine oil - 100 to 150 atf - 120 i think brake oil - less than 50 coolant - less than 50 air filter cabin filter - optionals

Regarding the atf, does it available at any shops or do I need to buy it directly from Honda? any shop will have them, or u can go buy from spare parts shop and get ur local mechanic to do

QUOTE(Thrust @ Nov 18 2014, 08:42 PM) Mine is 2010 model. Warranty expired so I just use fully synthetic and go for 10000 oil change interval. For your info, Honda updated their engine oil. They now carries SN 0W30 Fully Synthetic (This 1 must be PAO base from Group IV oil as the price is quite steep at RM198) , SN 0W20 Fully Synthetic (This 1 is actually a highly refined Group III based oil). QUOTE(winterwish @ Nov 18 2014, 09:20 PM) I go with mineral oil. Ekekeke Am using Liqui Moly Mos2 10/40 and sticking to 5k km interval... been telling myself i can safely stretch the interval to 6-7k but i am always reluctant ...

QUOTE(mytaffeta @ Nov 25 2014, 01:56 AM) not a prob bro since my objective is to compare the running cost, which how far both ron can go with same amount of money.. its NOT a comparison at all ... as it should be how far can you go with both RON with the same amount of fuel ... not money R95 = 2.3 / L R97 = 2.55 / L RM50 = 21.739 L of R95 petrol 19.607 L of R97 petrol assuming you are doing 12Km to the litre RM50 of R95 = 260.86 km RM50 of R97 = 235.29 km for a fair comparison you must get a similar amount(litre) of fuel to compare This post has been edited by earl-ku: Nov 25 2014, 03:02 AM
