Initial impression on 80km after replacing the spark plug
jerking situation "gone" (hopefully) but still in monitoring when hit into longer distance ..

anyone replaced their starter? about what cost? in FB group a lot of people has changed i think.
mine has been hard to start occasionally, and when i changed my tyres during cny, foreman also fail to start on 1st try, then they tested the battery which is about 2 years old. battery health show good. but i kinda know it already coz 2 years ago when change new battery, occasionally also fail to start on 1st try, so I already suspected its starter. |

QUOTE(Thrust @ Mar 15 2024, 07:20 AM) Yes, most likely start issue. you know anywhere to refurbish starter in kl?Normally like alternator, starter too can be refurbished. Can get a new one if you like but make sure it is Denso. i remember there is one legendary shop recommended in fnf for alternator. can't remember if they also refurbish starter. edit: found the thread: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2537796 This post has been edited by cempedaklife: Mar 15 2024, 10:03 AM |

QUOTE(CP88 @ Jul 7 2024, 10:51 PM) Hi All, No. But I always park in shade. Apart from a year or so working and had to park outdoor and obviously to occasional balik kampung and travel. Would like to ask does your TMO got this paint fading issue? https://www.reddit.com/r/aggies/comments/15...ar_wash_cycles/ This is almost similar with the wira owned back then. But also, since the beginning I always fear this scenario where “car too old, paint fade make you want to repaint but car already so old izzit worth it? But if no repaint lagi feel like changing car”. Hence I tried to wax my car as much as possible after a car wash to protect the paint. |

QUOTE(langstrasse @ Aug 11 2024, 04:19 PM) Thanks for sharing, yes makes sense to take advantage of workshop visits and do related scopes together. i suspect expansion valve too which i have yet to replace but planning to before end of the year. My issue is hot air that remains hot no matter what I do (switch AC on/off, switch fan on/off), then becomes cold by itself. Will get it checked since you said the car stay idle. try open up the hood when it happen, see if your hose got iced up. mine does when i checked it. so now what i do is, on long drive to prevent it from happening. i turn off the aircon awhile (and let the fan work), and then turn it back on. this would at least be enough to melt the ice (if any). and i can feel the difference. else, it will be the magnetic clutch, again since you said idle. easier to check. pop the hood and check if your clutch engage from time to time. but i would seriously suspect expansion valve among the 2. idle without the wind blow, i think its much easier to ice up. QUOTE(BakChoy @ Sep 4 2024, 11:44 AM) and did you look look into what's causing the rattling sound? Would like to fix it if possible the one in the video got a bit metal sound so if i got that definitely will check it.edit: Also, it's hard to for me to capture where and what is causing the noise since the noise has been very inconsistent but mine is like you know, those plastic creaking or rattling sound. its expected so i don't go and check |

last week, went to ming wah to check on my aircon pipe frozen and constant hissing sound. they advise to topup gas first and monitor. then went to kwong weng to have my starter motor looked at. told them when i just change battery 2 years ago, sometimes still hard to start. they took out and replaced the switch at the starter motor (i think? the uncle said something i couldn't really catch it). once changed, inside the car i can hear the start sound is different, in a good way. but they did tell me my battery is also week. coz when they test with my battery, sometimes it still struggle to start but when they also connect to their battery, it never struggle. i didn't choose to replace the battery yet. It seems like after only 3.5 years since my last ori replacement, my stabilizer link need replacement again.
First notice some clunking noises during drive right after start up. After awhile driving won’t notice anymore. Going on for 2 weeks and decided to take a loook by turning the wheels. Seems there is some grease drop to below as well. Maybe I just need to replace the bush? Last time I change the link and the bush but I don’t know better. I just buy ori from authorized Honda dealer and change in AR man I think Is this something easier fixable by Neighbourhood workshop. Or should I go to VMag? QUOTE(90Boyz @ Nov 8 2024, 09:56 AM) I'm using TRW stabilizer link and also recently it makes some clunking sound when drives pass those uneven roads. You plan to change the whole link as well or just the bush?upon close inspection both of the rubber boot has been torn off and grease spills over the lower arm and absorber area. looking at the lifespan of 3years and price point of it that i will continue using TRW stabilizer link for it and will change at the nearby workshop since it was an easy replacement. |

QUOTE(90Boyz @ Nov 11 2024, 06:05 PM) cant remember. its a rubber part for sure, i don't notice the metal ring though.in any case, i went to vmag today, with my description and we took a test drive (which doesn't have any noise at that time) he couldn't figure out as many possibility. he did say shouldn't be stabilizer link. i still asked him to proceed to check visually, he said its fine. yeah he noticed the grease but he said its okay. i confirm with him and he said no need change. he commented on my car being smooth overall. i changed ori absorber with him last year or and a half or so. and i just changed engine oil and rear brake pad before at my neighbourhood before i go over to him. QUOTE(Thrust @ Feb 8 2025, 08:18 AM) My car seems to be losing coolant (about 50 ml every month). Reminds me to check my coolant lol thanks. I cannot find any leaks anywhere as there's no coolant residue sighted. I don't think it is the head gasket as the engine oil and coolant is still in good condition. Any of you faces the same issue? Although mine become less and less over time and also based on the engine oil blotter thread, the TS there said my engine oil seems to be diluted with coolant, I still feel mine should be okay and “expected” 50ml a month seems excessive. |

QUOTE(Thrust @ Feb 14 2025, 08:40 AM) I will give u a detailed recommendation. The leaking part, how do you know? What’s the symptom? I have not replace before.Firstly, have you ever changed your colling coil before? Reason I asked is to gauge whether an aircond service is enough, or better off replacing the cooling coil. Normally cooling coil have a life span, in my case, each lasted exactly 7 years before it leaks refrigerant. |
