do you know how much they will charge if we want such service?
*
If i remember correctly, it is more than RM100.

Do update us after your throttle body cleaning to see whether there is any difference.

Hi bro,

Is Honda City (GM2, bought new in 2013) have hand brake indicator on dashboard?

Mine seems faulty (cannot find), and need to confirm before I talk to service center.

Thanks.
*
Sure will have the handbrake indicator or exclamation sign on the dashboard. Just go to SC and lodge a defect report. Ask them to show you other GM2 see got that light or not.

Hello,

Anyone try the Mobil 1 HTO-06 5W-30 (http://www.mobil1.com.my/products/product-oem-honda.aspx) on your Honda City?

Is it worth the price? Please share your experience.

Thanks.

Good morning!

Just like to know any 2013city owner buy NGK iridium Laser Spark Plug IZFR6K13 or DENSO IRIDIUM TWIN TIP SPARK PLUG IK20TT  from Lazada? becouse I need to change Spark plug for my car. TQ
*
To ensure maximum compatibility, open your owner's manual and at the back few pages, Honda has given both Denso and NGK spark plug model number meant for replacement.

Stick to them.

Bro, other than throttle body what other items need to be clean also I m trying to locate the iac valve but no luck, can u pls advise me? TQ

The City IACV is located together with the throttle body. It is basically the black squarish plastic behind the throttle body. It is not possible to clean the IACV unless the workshop have special tools to remove the screws.

Is it advisable to also change my engine oil (with my own engine oil) and do alignment balancing at ar auto man as well? While I do the fuel filter change.

Cost wise okay?
*
no need to go so far just to change engine oil. As for balancing and alignment, better to it at tyre shop.

You know how to change fuel filter? Its quite a hassle job.

I've done the door area previously, will try and do the wheel arches next.

How much does it cost for the whole floor soundproofing?
*
I don't think its cheap. To me, no point spend so much money on our old city already. Just maintain it well and let it be our work horse.

Just changed today. 104k km. I changed becoz of the dicussion here, Bro. Including you. Haha.

I haven't change serpentine belt yet though.

The Foreman advise to do throttle body clean up. Say he notice rpm go up down when test drive. Though I never notice.
*
Throttle body cleaning is a must after your car has accumulated mileage.

Guys, what's your average monthly expenses for car maintenance ?
(Excluding fuel costs)
*
City is reliable. You don't need monthly maintenance cost. For me, cost incurred is only for servicing every 8 to 9 months at about RM200.

Guys, can you please share which power steering fluid you use ?

Year 2009 onwards, City don't use power steering oil. It now runs on electronic power steering assisted by motor.

I concur. (Tyres, alighmement & balancing do need maintenance too from time to time)

8 years and still enjoying my drive with it.
*
Yes, my car is also 8 years now and don't need a lot of repair.

So far obly a few minor problems occured such as master brake cylinder and leaking coolant hose.

Other than that, its merely routine maintance such as replacing engine oil, oil and fuel filters, spark plugs.

Is it necessary to service aircon even though aircon no problem and still very very cold?

I think my last service was back when my city is 2 years old. Now 7 years.
*
No need to service. When it gives you problem only do repair on air cond. The money saved can be use to repair the aircond.

Just clocked 100k recently and have been servicing at Honda center since day 1.Is it ok to do my 100k service at outside workshop? What's the necessary stuff to change at this mileage?
*
100k you need to replace engine oil and filter, spark plugs, fuel filter, inspect drive belt and probably do a coolant replacement and ATF fluid drain and refill.

Inspect air filter, cabin filter.

How many liters do I need for coolant & atf fluid?
*
Check your owner's manual. It is stated there. If I remember correctly, you may need about 4 liters of coolant and 2.6 liters of ATF fluid.
