I think it depends on the mynah. Now I have 1, he is about 6 years old. He is a talker but he likes self learning. Before him, we had 1 which was a great talker, no chili padi needed. He would mimic me, talk, call my dogs, sing almost full songs. That was my 1st mynah. Our 2nd mynah was not a talker. No sound from me but the normal mynah noises. My 1st mynah died after 3 years coz stupid petshop told us to feed dog food. Then we got a 2nd mynah and fed only fruits like what some people in US did, but then it died from dunno what sickness. It only lived to 2 years. Now our current mynah is 6 years old and eats mynah food. But poor fella had a stroke recently, and it has left him blind but he stills sings and talks and laughs.

How is the bird doing?

The Hammingbird died the next day, I know it's no way to keep Hammingbird alive due to its main diet is flower pollen where we can't provide.
