Wow, thats so nice. What ages is your budgie around? Mine looks young, probably around 4 months. But I gotten it from pet shop and it's real hard to bond. I spend most of the time hanging at home letting it get used to me and still it wont take food from my hand. I cant even get it to eat milets if I didn't mix it in its food. Its been a month and only improvement I get is it is no so tense when I get near it. Still trying to slowly coax it into trusting me.

And yeah, I think you over clip its wings. By standard you should clip only 3~5 of the primary feathers oh each side, and not fully take it off. Or maybe you did clip correctly but your budgie is too young and has not learn to fly well yet? If thats the case, clipping its wings will end up that way too. But it will grow back anyway. Best of luck! And please share some tips bro. I'm having a hard time trying to bond.

p/s : my first budgie had better luck. Manage to bond it, but it flew away in an accident. some cat drove it off.  cry.gif

Haha, the budgie flying away thing sounds so familiar to me too.
All you need is patient, a wild bird is harder to tame, as it has less human contact. Idk about this one, but the older the budgie is, the harder to bond with it.
My advise would be not to give up easily, as the reward is most certainly worth it.

i did try a different method with one of my wild budgies.
The 1st month i let it flew all over my room until it get exhausted, approach it calmly, sit near it for awhile before approaching it with a finger.
and slowly i push my finger between the tummy and the leg. Took me few attempt, but at the end it responded by hopping onto my finger.
i slowly bring it back to the cage and let her rest. Within few months it bonded with me 80% and it does not show any sign of being rebellious (sounds like a teen lol)

All you need is patient with wild animals, same goes for dogs and cats. If you're honest enough to love your pet, time is nothing thumbup.gif
All the best Kinci, let me know if there's any changes of attitude (the bird obviously laugh.gif )

Hello bird lovers!
I've posted the below at the "African Grey" section but was no reply. Wonder where are all the bird lovers dissapeared to. Hope it's ok to repost it here. Thanks.

I've been doing alot of internet research about African Grey. Anyone know a trustful breeder to buy a preferbably female handfed 4-5 months old COG around Klang Valley area?? Appreciate it.

You can find most of them at MBF, or Malaysia Bird Forum. But we do discuss things from time to time.

Good luck on your search for a CAG. I got a breader but i cannot say for sure if he is trustworthy, and he's not in Klang Valley either lol.

I'm looking for baby Macaw. Quite possibly the hardest find as I have asked around, and when they do have it is almost full grown size.
