Have anyone tried connecting their xbox360 with PC LCD monitor using HDMI-DVI-D cable? How's the image quality? is it better than the VGA cable? If the image quality is as good as connecting to LCD TV via HDMI, I might try this solution. If I use the HDMI-DVI-D cable, how to connect the Audio? Using the normal cable + Y-splitter?

-currently I am using the VGA cable solution and I found that the Black level is not good compared to LCD TV via HDMI.

what lcd monitor you use? if u use vga on a TN panel lcd the colour wont be so great n what resolution you use? if u want a good lcd for ur xbox360 over vga you need spva panel lcd. Dell Ultrasharp n Samsung T series use them which can be found in msia. Have you calibrate ur lcd ? cant answer the hdmi dvi cable coz my 360 output is vga.

I use DELL 19" Widescreen Entry model. I already calibrated my monitor (take a lot of time) to the best Image quality (to my eyes) but still not as good as my Sony LCD TV. Just want to ask anyone who have tried the HDMI-DVI solution. I will try this solution when I got a HDMI-DVI adaptor sometime this month.

i think the lowest price for xbox360 ( arcade version ) which is around rm1300++ ; but i do think premium the best for u...its around rm1500++....the advantage of unmodded :

1. Can play via XboxLive @ Online.
2. Warranty 3 years from Microsoft Singapore.

if u buy modded console :

1. Risk to get banned from Microsoft very high.
2. No Microsoft Warranty , usually just shop warranty ( incase anything they just do half x-clamp repair )
3. Cant play via XboxLive

How does it get banned :

Microsoft will detect if the console modded ( dvd drives firmware mods / modchip ) and also not using genuine games...may be they had special software to scan each console that play via online.

NOTE : if u wanna buy xbox360 , better get the latest FALCON unit...far better then previous chip.

How to know its FALCON ?

1. PowerBrick Output : 175w
2. Lot Number must be 735 and above

the item you pointing is wireless controller for xbox360, if you want to use it on pc you need Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows ( http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-et-49-en-70-1ui3.html )

other than that you can find wired controller xbox360, it can be use on pc or xbox360 via the usb...

hope that clear for you..

Silver membership can purchase Microsoft Point and use it to download payable contents as well right?
Or I must subscribe to Gold membership before I can access to Microsoft Point services?

Microsoft offers new 60GB version of XboX 360
Posted on 14.07.2008 at 04:47 in Tech News by Martin
Microsoft today announced an Xbox 360 console with triple the storage space of the original console, but for the same price of $349. Available in retail stores in the U.S. and Canada starting in early August, the upgraded Xbox 360 will include a 60GB hard drive for storing music, movies, television shows, and game content. In addition, Microsoft today dropped the price of its 20GB Xbox 360 console in the U.S. and Canada to $299 while supplies last.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Arcade, which comes with a 256MB memory unit and five Xbox LIVE Arcade games, will continue to sell for $279, and the premium Xbox 360 Elite with a 120GB hard drive will also stay at the $449 price. The Xbox 360 60GB console includes a wireless controller, HDMI output, headset, free Xbox Live Silver account and a one-month Xbox Live Gold subscription.
