Are you serious bro? I wanted to transfer the points there next few days!
*
I called Maybank customer service Monday evening and asked specifically. Had around 600k TP to transfer and decided against it since they reached their limit and I won't get the 33% extra. Without the promo I think SQ Krisflyer makes more sense for me, for example better one-way rates.

If they tell you something different please post here too.

I tried calling the number at the back of the card and went to the branch at klcc. Both of them can't give direct answer and they say it's on first come first serve basis. The result will be revealed after the promo. Where do you get the news from?
*
I called the number at the back of the Maybank Premiere card too but I'm not sure where it went, most likely the general call center. Asked the guy about the Asia Miles promo. Was put on hold for a few minutes. He came back and said that while the promo period was still on, they already finished the 1 million allocation of free Asia Miles to give out so while my TP would transfer, I wouldn't get the 33% bonus.

I did. Rejected and didn't have the courtesy to contact me and tell me. I say cancel the card and they asked me to pay the GST RM50. I said screw you I ain't paying for a card that I don't have. Then he said its policy and that because I used the card after GST was charged. I said I'm not aware of it.

If they charge me that fee I'm going to write to BNM and screw Maybank because they fail to inform me the RM50 GST charge. My SMS notification is set at RM1 but I never received the SMS about the RM50 charge. How would I know when they charge the GST and to stop using the card. It's a freaking trap frankly.
*
Thanks for sharing. I'll definitely keep this in mind when contacting them. Maybank has not been very helpful in terms of user retention etc. Their frontline customer service, whether on the phone or at the service centers have zero power to do anything, they only fill up the form and forward it on. Mine's expiring in May and I've spent only 40k on it.

*
I've flown to/from Beijing in MH biz. I got into the Beijing lounge no problem.

If you have MBB2 Premier, you are eligible to upgrade your hhonor to gold membership.
Then u can get discounted and free upgrade room for Hilton group.
*
That is true but it's not exactly quick. I called, and it took probably 1-2 weeks for the hhonors gold to be reflected online plus an additional few more weeks before I actually received the HHonors card.

For instant gratification Agoda is better.

mind to let me know which lounge you go in? the china air lounge?
my flight is 1:30am later, i arrived here 530pm just now, and to my surprise MAS counter will only open later at 1030pm!!!! so i have to wait until MAS counter open...

____________________

ok, just an update, MAS gave me a pass to enter "Air China Business Class Lounge", but the environment and food not that nice, so i spent about 25min then i went to BGS Premier Lounge, entering with my Citibank PremierMiles for free. BGS environment is much better.
*
Yes correct. Air China lounge is nothing great, plus they close at 1am or even earlier so you still have to hang around for some time at the very empty terminal.

I also had the issue with the MH counter opening at 1030pm. I must've waited at least an hour, maybe more. I had expected it to be open 4 hours before hand so that I could at least hang around the lounge a bit. Next time I'll just go around Beijing and only turn up at the airport at midnight...

Speaking of golf, I have always interested to pick this up as a new hobby since Maybank Premier card is giving the benefits of complimentary green fees.

The issue is to find another 2 golfer on weekend game which either pay the green fee or each of them also holding Maybank Premier card which all could enjoy complimentary green fee.

So anyone here interested to golf?  tongue.gif
*
Interesting thought. And I live about 3-4 minutes drive from a golf course that's covered by the Maybank Premiere cards too. Now the only thing is to buy those golf clubs... biggrin.gif

I want to increase my credit limit too. Even for a day for a single swipe. Care to share how much your income is? If you're comfortable and dont mind, of course.

I dont make that much on my income, roughly RM20,000 but fluctuates greatly. However, I have ready cash and aset. Just a matter of convicing the banks of it only.
*
Two ways I can think of.

First have you tried asking Maybank directly instead of asking here? Tell them exactly what you want to do and show them the money. Temporary credit limit increase is usually allowed although I have no idea by how much.

Also did you ask the car dealer if you can do it all at once? Are they willing to cover the 2% or whatever charges they have to pay? If Maybank isn't and the car dealer is willing, ask the car dealer to do it in 2-3 swipes. Sure you don't get the car the same day biggrin.gif but maybe in 3-4 days.

Almost one year after receiving my Premiere cards, I'm going to request for an annual fee waiver. I didn't meet the RM80k spend threshold but close, maybe within 10%.

Has anyone done this and succeeded in getting a waiver yet? I'm enjoying the KF miles that I might even keep the cards and pay the RM800 anyway biggrin.gif

Just wondering why are you guys redeeming enrich miles still, when they had a massive devaluation of their award redemption chart in Feb?

With krisflyer and now asiamiles as redemption options, aren't those two programs a much better deal?

If you read back several months on LYN, that is exactly what some of us are doing.

herc are those Asia Miles for Economy or Business? Economy class is 60k Asia Miles return. 120k miles is either Biz or Premium Economy during high season.

Also don't forget that you can waitlist on Asia Miles even if you have zero miles, you have 4 days to ticket (I think) once you have a confirmed seat although end of year would be tough. What dates?

Another thing, MH may no longer fly to Amsterdam by end of this year sad.gif

The comparison done all based on business class.

The date I input were Dec19~Jan2. AsiaMiles only available for Dec22~Jan4 (firmed booking, not waitlist)

Not sure about MAS stop fly Amsterdam, but when playing with Enrich redemption, it's still available.

Wife was bugging on SIA, says never try before...
*
I see Dec 20-Jan 4th confirmed on Asia Miles as of 945pm, that could be an option.

In my experience you're more likely to get 2 CX business than 2 SQ business. I've been on SQ waitlist that never cleared, never been on CX waitlist but I've gotten up to 5 seats on CX business before so availability is pretty damn good.

Also I personally prefer CX business hard product over SQ, but some people prefer it the other way. The service is equal on both I'd say.

My biggest peeve with Asia Miles is that their one way is far more expensive than return. KF one way is half their return trip so I can pick and choose the airlines I want rather than be stuck on CX all the way. Not that CX is bad in any way but choice is always better biggrin.gif

As for MH, if you paid money for your flights and MH cancelled the route you'd get cash back or possibly an alternate flight on another airline. MH however doesn't have the best service with regards to award tickets, so you might just get your Enrich miles back if MH cancels their KUL-AMS. I'm not sure what I'd do with 255k Enrich miles smile.gif

Good luck on your flights.

I've tried it with Citibank before, they do try to match your account name with the name on your frequent flyer account.

Maybe Maybank doesn't.

Recently, I log on to my M2U and saw that I was imposed the RM800 annual fee and 6% GST too for my Maybank 2 Cards Premier. And since I did spend the minimum amount to qualify for auto annual fee waiver, RM800 was instantly credited into my account AND best of all, so was RM48 (6% GST)!!! No need to beg them  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif
*
I was told that this would happen by the customer service, but I have not seen a single entry in my account yet. I did meet the minimum spend too, my 1 year anniversary was last May.

Not sure if I should be concerned or not biggrin.gif

@maskedchan,
Like what @tishaban said, he didn't get an auto-waive. I'll wait and see and report back on whether I got mine auto-waived or if I had to call them - when will the auto-waive come?
*
Tink, I didn't get a line item saying RM800 in my bill. Just nothing. I did ask and they said I should be auto-waived as I met the spend requirements.

I read as an Amex Platimum member in the USA, you get free upgrade to SPG Gold. Can you try and report back? I won't receive my new cards from my wifey for another week as I'm on an overseas assignment.
*
Yes, if you're a US Amex Platinum charge card member you get SPG Gold automatically. Have had SPG Gold for several years already, best benefit is the 4pm late checkout!

I have not heard of the same SPG Gold for the Amex Reserve though, it seems to be at the same level as the Amex Platinum credit card which itself is a notch or two below the Amex Platinum charge card.

One or two notch below Platinum?  hmm.gif
*
If you go by the annual fee:

* Amex Platinum Charge Card RM2,400
* Amex Platinum Credit Card RM800
* Amex Reserve + Visa Infinite RM800

So two notches below Platinum charge card biggrin.gif

QUOTE(michael881 @ Jul 12 2015, 05:58 PM)
Anyway, I will try my luck after i get hold of my cards. Tishaban, did you get SPG gold through Amex Platinum or stays? My target is 250 nights for Life Gold.

Zeronuker may wanna try your luck first since you're going to Bali Westin? Give Amex conceirge a call..  biggrin.gif
*
I initially got my SPG Gold through the US Amex Platinum, but I actually did qualify for gold last year through stays. Almost qualified for Hyatt Platinum as well but didn't stay/travel enough last year but I still have Hyatt Platinum from my Chase Hyatt card and HHonors Gold from the Maybank Visa Infinite.

I only know based on what I read on Maybank's site and Maybank Premiere cards don't list SPG Gold as a benefit. You can try call Maybank to ask.

SPG Gold isn't that special and they have plenty of sign up routes : http://loyaltylobby.com/2014/05/17/spg-gol...l-july-13-2015/

True there are multiple ways to get SPG Gold so definitely no reason to not get it, but I've gotten 4pm late checkout from SPG hotels far more often (ie. every single time I asked) than Hilton or Hyatt which is why I value my SPG Gold a lot more than my Hyatt Platinum or HHonors Gold. The automatic upgrade at check in is nice and I've gotten it for all the chains and quite consistently too.
