No set date bro. Currently I am just having 50k miles. I plan to go to London, Melbourne or Korea in the future but not sure when yet. Will go for the Singapore Airlines business class.

If you were me, would you pay 2% charge (RM 600) just for the 13k miles? Burn money or save money? haha
*
London is 68k KF miles + ~RM1k fees one way in J. The fees are much more expensive flying out of London in business compared to flying in.

So all in around RM1k (fees) + RM600 (2%) + RM2k = RM3.6-4k for a return flight to London, one way in business. If I had to do it I would spend the RM600.

well just to get the 3k miles, no point to use it. Plus if you already have Premier 2 cards, its easy biggrin.gif
*
3k miles is still 3k miles. With first year free annual fee it's easy enough to apply and cancel within the 12 month period. I will probably do it biggrin.gif

WMC Maybank, 5 treat miles = 5x treat points
*
Some thoughts:

1. No first year annual fee waiver. That's RM1k down the hole automatically.
2. RM1 = 2.5 treat miles = 0.393 Enrich miles for WMC. Compare this with Premiere's RM1 = 2 TP = 0.419 Enrich/KF/AM
3. No mention on Treat AirMiles = Treat Points or Treat Airmiles conversion to KF/AM
4. RM120k spend annually to avoid annual fee

Advantages:
* 50k treat miles sign up bonus
* treat miles never expire

Aside from the 50k sign up bonus, I am not seeing much to like here.

Didn't comb through their T&C. Then MBB WMC certainly doesn't seem to offer any real benefit, taking the annual fee into account
*
For me the moment I see a card with up front annual fee ie. no free first year I automatically say no. There are a handful of exceptions but in general it's not worth it IMO.

Does it still worth to keep this card in order to get this low rate of convertion? Assuming that annual fee is not being waived..
*
You'll have to make the calculations yourself. Assuming:

1. You make RM70k worth of purchases annually, where 100% are Amex, which will earn you roughly 70k miles transferable to Enrich/AM/KF
2. I value Asia Miles and Krisflyer at say RM0.05 per mile, so 70k miles = RM3,500
3. 70k miles will get me a one-way trip to Europe in business class on CX or QR which is worth far more than RM3,500

In this case yes, I would keep the card and pay the RM800. This assumes you don't use any of the golf/dining privileges

how you know I value Asia Miles and Krisflyer at say RM0.05 per mile. where can check this?
*
The way I calculate is to compare a typical flight eg. KUL-JFK on CX/SQ which would end up to be around RM4-5.5k depending on timing. Divide that by the number of miles after deducting the fees etc. which is how I usually get RM0.05 per AM/KF mile. That's the value I get out of each mile, that's what I would pay out of pocket for it.

You might value it differently of course.

And how about MH? How much do you value each EM?
*
Good question, I don't know biggrin.gif because I'm not using much Enrich nowadays. My last long haul flight on MH was 2012 sad.gif

Another thing to consider when valuing miles is that for some airlines eg. CX Asia Miles, the cost of a premium economy redemption is only 20% more than an economy redemption, and the cost of a business redemption is about 30% above premium economy.

For example KUL-HKG-JFK return

Economy ~RM4.5k or 90k miles
Premium economy ~RM8-9k or 108k miles
Business ~RM15-16k or 145k miles

This is where the value of miles becomes more attractive because the increment in miles is much less than the increment in RM but it applies only to some airlines eg. CX Asia Miles, AAdvantage but not so much for SQ Krisflyer or BA Avios. I haven't really looked into MH Enrich all that much unfortunately.

I'm probably not going to meet my 80k spend this year, have been spending more on my other cards.

If I cancel before the annual fee hits in August, how long do I have before I can reapply? Anyone tried churning this card before?

can share how you get this card? how can we apply for it

Had it, cancelled it. Didn't feel that the super high annual fee was worth it. @athlon mentioned some of the reasons already.

Nooooooooooo.............

Unlike some people I don't earn in a stronger foreign currency tongue.gif

Realistically I would love to keep the M2P cards, ~RM1 per 1 mile is superb, but I started collecting hotel points (and hence applying for more US credit cards again) so most of my spend are on those other cards now... biggrin.gif

Currently I have about 120K Enrich Miles on hand.
And I am planning to fly 3 pax to LAX one way.
Enrich miles is more expensive to redeem than AsiaMiles or Krisflyer.
That makes the choice harder for me.
*
To compare truly, you need to look at the following:

- airport taxes + YQ (surcharge). Which is cheaper
- availability on the dates that you want to go.
- redemption pattern. Asia Miles allows one way redemption but it's more expensive compared to redeeming a return flight
