Up to 14 days? You mean new application without existing MBB card?
*
That's what they told me on the phone yesterday when I went to check the status.

I already hold MBB 2 and VI and didn't submit any additional documents

Thanks for sharing your experience. I don't really spend 80k annually. Now that MAS doesn't fly to LAX, I'm thinking whether it's worth it to apply for the card just for the enrich points conversion.

Let's say I've this card. Can I cancel other cards and transfer the points to this card?
How long can the enrich points last after conversion from TP? Thanks if anyone can answer them.
*
I believe Enrich miles are valied for 3 Years.

If you have points on existing card which redeems at 7000 TP to 1K Enrich , you can't "move" those points to then get 1K Enrich for 4500 TP, if that makes sense.

The points are tied up to respective cards even if I cancel all the cards? How do you consolidate the points between existing Amex and MC(Maybankard2),  principal and supplementary cards? Thank you.
*
I can't comment on supplementary cards as I've never had any.

But what's the reason for consolidating points between the 2? In the past if I've redeemed something for say 100K TP, if my Amex and MC had 80K and 20K respectively I just put both cards on the redemption form.

Not sure how it works when you cancel the cards .. but it doesn't make sense if they let you move the TP to another card where you can then redeem at higher value (ie in this case 4.5K TP vs/ 7K TP for redeeming Enrich)

I received it too in the evening. I think we should be receive the cards sometime next week.
*
7PM also? I received same time as Alec , exactly 7PM.

Regarding Premier / Private banking benefits I'm not sure - but as far as I know there isn't many benefits anyway other than being able to jump the queue.

I'm having to wait about a month for my Private/Premier Wealth card whatever they call it now.

I m sure that apply directly at Card Centre will more faster than thru a branch..
*
I applied through the phone and opted for collection in branch.

Don't drive so going to card centre to apply and collect is inconvenient.

i don't think you need to pledge 180k, even 30k-50k is enough
*
QUOTE(or_ca @ Mar 4 2014, 10:21 PM)
re u sure just pledge 30-50k already enuff?
*
I've never submitted any income documents to Maybank before.

Pledged RM20K for MBB2 cards, then RM50K for VI

Now applied for this card which was approved without issues, and didn't have to sign any document/stamping etc. like previous.

So I think if you offer to pledge RM50K is sufficient ...

QUOTE(BRY7 @ Mar 5 2014, 07:46 AM)
did they give you FD to CL 1:1 or is it 2:1?
some branches are telling me it should be 2:1 where as card centre is saying 1:1
*
Both times 1:1, did the same with Citi and they also give 1:1

Before needed to pay the stamping fee and sign some papers - this time nothing required smile.gif

I just received the premier 2 cards today.

Now i'm thinking whether to cancel the old VI card and then transfer all the treat points into new card.... any advise?
*
Considering to do the same - even if you can reach the minimum spend on both cards to get AF waiver it doesn't make much sense to keep unless you need 2x Priority Pass cards (ie. 10 entries per year, rather than 5) which would make the RM50 worthwhile.

Yeah... i don't need 2X PPC from maybank, because i have other bank credit card which allow me to access lounge too.
Guess i better cancel the current VI card and then transfer all the auto debit and points to new card.
*
Same situation here. The last few times I travelled only ever once had enough time to use PP lounge, and for that my Citibank could be used anyway

Will only get used if I happen to have a long stopover somewhere, less than 5 times a year anyway.

so for those who pledge with fd, after 1 year you apply as new and pledge again? In this case no annual fee issue? tongue.gif
*
Not sure on this new card, and my VI also not old enough.

My Maybank 2 Platinum cards were renewed at expiry automatically and FD was left there

May I know to whom you deal on the application?

Another Q, 20K for MBB2Cards, RM50k for VI, then another RM50k for the M2Premier?

I were searching around and found ppl mentioning the FD need to lock for 12 months, and then free to withdraw after that. But some said once FD withdrawn, CC need to cancel too..
*
RM20K for MBB2 , RM50K for VI and then M2Premier added to the exising CL.

Just having a dinner with a friend at Shang Palace Restaurant, Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

When paying for the bill, the waiter was not aware that the Amex Reserve has 50% off for the bill, for 2 guests. He told me that only the Amex without Maybankard logo, in silver color and grey color has the discount. blink.gif

I told him that this Amex Reserve is a newly launched card, ask him to recondite with the manager. Then only he go and ask someone to check. Finally, yes! As per what was stated in Maybank webpage. 50% off the bill!! ( for food only, drink excluded.) rclxms.gif
*
I've only ever used one of the Amex 50% off deals once, although Maybank keep sending me the offers in the post quite often. Should really make use of these more often!
