True, for frequent flyer, lounge is really needed for work and rest. Try to imagine you hv to work whenever you hv time in between. Nothing glamorous as frequent flyer honestly. And I never use any baggage tag. smile.gif

One trick for MH redemption tho. Z fares earn you status on CX... Redeem Z fares and change FFP by phone to MPO.
*
My brother has been a frequent flyer for decades, working for a US MNC. His schedule and life in general is a living hell to me so ya, I rather earn my miles with my credit cards, feet firmly on the ground.

Thanks for the MH redemption trick, though I don't see myself flying MH (international that is) for quite some time.

Possible provided your dealer accepts AMEX and didn't incur any charges by using CC
*
Yup, I know of million dollar shop lots purchased using CC. Developer bore the merchant fees.

Hi guys i got a question,

i currently have m2card platinum and i have accumulate 100k+ treat points,
If i applied for m2card premier, can i convert my 100k+ treat point to enrich miles using the premier conversion rate? (4770-->1000miles)

Thanks
*
I'll keep the 100k+ points for a while, accumulate new ones with your m2card premier, then do a conversion. I managed to clear my points from older cards this way. YMMV of course.

I did this many years ago so maybe they've caught on to the loophole?

You mean point accumulate from normal card able to convert to miles at 4770TP - 1000 miles ?
*
Yes, that's what happened but this was several years ago (and obviously not at the 4.77 rate). It's obvious they've caught on to it.

Shouldn't complain much, these cards are simply the best in miles collection.

Not sure, but am happy with my current CL.

Is that worth to swipe RM 30,000 and pay 2% (RM 600) charge to get 60,000 treat points (Visa Infinite) to get roughly 13,000 miles?

You choose to pay by cash without any charge or by credit card and pay RM 600 charge?
*
Visa charge should be less than 2%. As to whether it's worth it or not, that depends on what you're intending to use them for and also which program you are redeeming the TPs to.

I still couldnt decide to use cash or credit card in this case. Hopefully someone can shed some light ><
*
What tickets are you intending to redeem? Business, PE or economy?

If you have dates set and there's availability and you're just short of 13k miles I would say go for it, especially if it's for business or PE class.

What FFP? What route?

No set date bro. Currently I am just having 50k miles. I plan to go to London, Melbourne or Korea in the future but not sure when yet. Will go for the Singapore Airlines business class.

If you were me, would you pay 2% charge (RM 600) just for the 13k miles? Burn money or save money? haha
*
Well, KUL-SIN-ICN return in J will cost you 68k miles and RM1,721.90. I'll pay the RM600 and swipe the cards a little more to reach 68k and enjoy SQ J class to Seoul return.

Thanks for all the great info bros. Another thing I really consider is that if I swipe the RM 30,000 and pay the RM 600 charge, I can definitely spend over RM 80k per year and get the auto waiver. I can save the RM 800 annual fees as well.

If I do not swipe the RM 30,000, I can spend roughly around RM 60,000 per year. Do you think they will waive my annual fees if I call in to request? 🤔🤔🤔
*
Swipe the 30k. I am sure you can get the waiver.

Are SQ seats as easily available as MA? Or much harder? And can redemption be done online for SQ just like MA?
*
Depends on route but generally speaking, MH availability is better lah.

For the SQ flight to Seoul I plugged in random dates in May: Saver award seats were available.

Did a redemption for Krisflyer miles on Saturday. I asked whether they cross-check the MBB account holder name with the Krisflyer account. She told me MBB does not check but the airlines will revert back to them in the case the names differ. Anyone else managed to transfer miles to other people's FFP account?

BTW the miles came through yesterday, so took them 4 days.

WMC Maybank, 5 treat miles = 5x treat points
*
Just sharing my experience. I applied for this when 50,000 treat miles = 10,000 miles.

Got the miles, the card was never delivered to me and after a few months I called up, MBB said card has been cancelled as it was never picked up.

Suits me just fine biggrin.gif

Have been unable to view my supplementary card transactions via MB2U for both Visa Infinite and Amex Reserve. Anyone else have the same problem? Have made 4 calls to the call centre and they've been giving me the run-around.

no p roblem viewing my supplementary card..

Hmmm...somehow the option to view supplementary card transactions at the lower right corner is no longer appearing when I log in to my mb2u. It's been working for years until last week. CS staff have no clue what's going on. They asked so I took a screen capture and emailed to amex customer care. It's been a week. Nothing.
