My only concern about tomorrow morning's match is we will show Bayern too much respect.
We tend to do that against the bigger teams we've faced this year and it really irks me. No team is unbeatable and we should be confident in our own ability. Important is to be quick off the blocks, signal our intent and press them fast and hard. |

If Ozil had not f*cked up the penalty we would've something to hold on to. Really really disappointing from him.
Red for Chezzers while fully justified seems a little bit harsh. Robben had already hit the ball wide before contact was made. I've seen many a time the ref just went for a yellow + a penalty and chose to get on with it. Hope we can hold on to a 0-0. Just don't see us scoring with 10 men. QUOTE(joeroxworld @ Feb 20 2014, 04:41 AM) Seriously? The touch from Robben was horrendous to say the least. The ball was going way wide and Chesney only brought down Robben AFTER Robben had made contact.Last Man? yes Penalty? yes definitely Red? not so sure. A bit harsh IMO as I am not convinced it was a clear goal scoring opportunity. But its touch and go though. Depends on the ref and unfortunately for us he went for RED. QUOTE(john_white @ Feb 20 2014, 05:39 AM) So you expect us to praise him when he play like sh*t?LOL so you expect your boss to say "well done" when you screw up at your work place? I think you need to go to sleep son. A player deserves praise when they play well and deserves criticism when they play sh*t. But praise or criticize as long as they wear the colours of our team they will have our support. |

QUOTE(Rei7 @ Feb 20 2014, 06:04 AM) Maybe you were full of praisesh but for me from the beginning... not good enough. Are you sure? You were saying not too long ago Monreal was a better defender and crosser of the ball than Gibbs Gibbs was injured that time if not don't even need to sign him. Kah3! Always have faith in Ramsey. |

Ozil is being made to look worse than he currently is IMO.
Ozil is the type of champagne player that tears open defenses if given movement and options ahead of him but couldn't defend for his life. It has always been the case and the reason he thrived at RM is he had Benzema in front of him and he had Di Maria and Ronaldo cutting in frequently to add two more options to Benzema. That makes it 3 ways for Ozil to pass the ball forward on most if not every occasion. And I tell you given options ahead of him Ozil will murder you with a killer pass because 99% of the time he NEVER chooses the wrong option and makes the wrong pass. The way we are set up at the moment does Ozil no favors at all. Not only last night but most of the time in previous matches since Walcott and Ramsey have been out, Ozil only had one route (Giroud in most of previous games and Sanogo yesterday) to pick out each time he had the ball. Either that or it will be sideways out wide. While I love the OX on the wing most of the time he sticks to the byline too often for my liking and never cuts inside the box and Cazorla was always standing off the striker at the edge of the area level with Ozil and not ahead of him. Ozil was brilliant first part of the season because Ramsey makes those forward runs and with Walcott cutting in frequently and Giroud up top Ozil has 3 similar outlets like when he was at RM. Cazorla has always been Cazorla. Without runners and options ahead of him any playmaker would struggle. |

QUOTE(joeroxworld @ Feb 20 2014, 04:16 PM) Bro go and play back close up replay on robben first touch. For me no.U can see it was a clear goal scoring opportunity. Szczesny beaten already. I give u the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V47Mvi2y-9Q The ball was moving so fast and so far wide after his touch. I don't think for one minute he was fully under control of the situation. He might not even have reached the ball in time after that even of Szczesny didn't touch him or he might not even have scored given the angle. I don't see that as clear given there are as many possibilities of him not scoring as there is of him scoring. ![]() Contact was only made on Robben's standing leg AFTER Robben had made the touch, which was poor. It was not a clear goal scoring opportunity. Penalty yes, red no. I rest my case. We will agree to disagree then. This post has been edited by sigheart: Feb 20 2014, 04:39 PM |

QUOTE(shaniandras2787 @ Feb 25 2014, 09:09 AM) Yeap, agreed! Nah, if Arsene goes out there and signs a Debuchy or a Coleman that proves to be better than Sagna that wouldn't happen instead fans will be singing songs of praise and all mistreatment of Sagna will be forgotten. Football fans are fickle like that.I think the fans will understand as well and if Sagna leaves, I think the fans will hate Wenger more. If Sagna leaves Arsenal then Arsenal will most probably be plagued with the defense disease again and to be honest, without Sagna, Wenger cannot play Arsenal in a versatile formation at the back anymore. Certainly leaves a sour taste in the mouth the way we treat players 30 and over. They deserve way better IMO. Happened with Bergkamp (rolling year on year contract, thank God he stayed as long as he did), Bobby, Gilberto and the list goes on. |
