Guys,
Need recommendation for first time user before im upgrade my streamyx to 4mbps.
Currently watching astro and downloading movies/tv series with soft subtitles.
I have free voucher for iflix and might sign up for netflix.
Kodi or bbmc and something similar not important but i might try to learn if have time.
Please recommend me an android box as cheap as possible coz i might not like it or the streamyx speed is killing my box.
Thanks.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Feb 17 2016, 02:42 AM) cheap things no good; good things no cheap. True. I can upgrade my box if streaming is smooth. Currently im happy with my astro and downloading movies with android box just an additional. Right now im in 1mbps and tm just finish upgrading speed on my area up to max 4mbps. 4mbps might still not stable and later this box going to be dusty. Do you have any advise for me?

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Feb 17 2016, 03:09 AM) no... because i have not used the cheapest boxes. read this thread from page1, you may find some brands/models. take note these boxes get obsolete within a couple of years. also, these boxes are not "auto, push-button" astro boxes at all - they are software driven, need work, updates and support from seller/manufacturer/other users, so it is impt to buy a popular one. I do read few pages from beginning and learned that support is a must that come with popular boxes from reputable seller. 2gb ram also is a plus. If i have few names/models then i can start making some comparison.

QUOTE(voncrane @ Feb 17 2016, 10:29 AM) Good to know you done some background research. So perhaps, you can look around the garage thread, physical or online shops and list a few devices that are within your budget. Also, what type of files do you download? Cuz not all boxes, super cheap or not, can handle high bit rate files, HD sound & .iso formats. Best advice/recommendations will follow. My downloaded files is avi if not mistaken the one with 300mb for each episodes of tv series and around 1gb for a movies. Actually my budget is rm300 but most ive found is with 1gb ram. Those with 2gb ram around rm500. So is it 1gb ram is a huge gap? I saw mibox only 1gb ram which is well know name in home appliances. I guess they are just average name within android box user.
