Please do not be misled. An android box cannot simply replace your Astro box n plans cuz they don't work the same way. If you want ease of use? Stick to your Astro package. If you want LOTS of tweaking and messing around with installation files, xmls, some codes here n there, then get an android box.  A decent android box is just that, a box capable of running android apps. Will all apps work smoothly on it or all channels available 24/7? Nope! If you don't mind the above, then yeah, get a box. They are a great replacement. Buy a reputable box with support, minimum specs include a quad core CPU, 2GB ram & 16GB ROM for best results. Also bear in mind that even those myiptv or myhdtv or whatever not so legal paid subscriptions can fail at any time. No warranty/guarantees involved.

this is totally nonsense, u dont need to mess up with anything to use android box. Android box works like any your android phones, all apps can easily install either via apk or google play store. Plus most android box on the market usually already come pre-installed with streaming apps and kodi so you can start using out of the box. But for sure it is better to get reputable brand like minix and hi media because they always update their firmware and they have their own launcher for easy use with their remote and work better as media center

Thanks for the explaination..but what about skybox? Is it same as android box?
*
Yes u can get astro channel with android box but u need to subscribe and use certain apps. But there are a few con watching astro this app :
1. Quality cant beat astro because u actually streaming the content.
2. There is no option to change subtitle or audio.
3. There is no EPG or info on the show that you watch
4. It lags a few minutes compared to astro.

Pro :
1. You can watch most of the channel with a very cheap monthly subscription.

Sky Box on the other hand works exactly like Astro, so u still need to use your astro satellite. The con, you cannot get the HD channel and the server is more
likely to go down and scramble usually happen when you change the channel.

If I change my Internet speed from 5 to 10mbps does it effect the picture quality in myiptv or HDTV applications?
*
nope, the quality is the same. I never try MpIPTV, but for HDTV the quality is like you streaming 480p youtube video, Cant compare with astro.

It is slow to an extend that I can't play the movie.
0-20 kbytes/sec.

I have no problem torrenting though.

that probably because streamyx has block p2p application/protocol a long time ago.
Can only works if u use VPN
