I'd compare all three together

. That honour falls to the HiMedia Q5 Pro which is identical, specs wise, to the Q10 Pro only it lacks the hard drive bay the ‘senior’ model has.

Probably not relevant anymore with new firmware. Review was on initial fw, and the issue was on a few types of 4k only. (PS that page has link to both reviews if you are still interested.)

IMHO, q5 vs q10, mainly form factor...16gb to complete spec wise as top dog...some people needs it others don't...but nice to have anyway...

Use of ext memory is not good for fast input/output.
Will be sluggish, some apps will not even work.

A 8gb gross net of firmware, apps, junk, cache leaves u with too little for certain apps like popcorntime and kodi quasar.
Will be struggling to clean, remove this and that all the time.

Trust us who have used 8gb boxes.

u already know by now there are hundreds of box makers - from china to brazil to spain to russia.

it's hard to survive in the low, even mid end, little money to be made.

like all biz, we will see in the next 2-3 years some consolidation - the weak ones will hv to get out, a dozen or so will continue.

what is impt for the user is the SUPPORT - continuous firmware upgrades either direct from manufacturer or local seller.

Just bought a new box but unfortunately it's rooted and I cannot use Astro OTG on it. Though I can watch some of the channels elsewhere but still nothing beats Astro OTG when it comes to stability. I love watching live badminton matches.

I tried to flash RootCloak last night and added AOTG but it didn't help.

Anyway, I was using the free HyppTV box Huawei EC6108V8 as starter, then soon hooked up to Android box for entertainment.

Gotta learn from the sifus here.

Guess what, I watched from AOTG using iPad.
However, if it's Astro SuperSports... Hmm... There are tonnes of free IPTVs lying around. Sorry but can't discuss further.
