Maybe can test the options you guys posted earlier. |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Feb 1 2017, 04:11 PM) I would have continued using it except, I've had times when it pops up during Quasar playback, to tell me my space has decreased by a certain amount (no s**t Sherlock) and that notification crashes the Quasar addon, forcing me to buffer all over again (addon set not to save files). Couldn't find a way to disable that particular notification and it happened frequently enough, forcing its uninstall. I thought can disable the low space notification in ES File Explorer settings? |

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Feb 1 2017, 05:42 PM) until u have try out file commander, u will be amazed how clean and easy the file sharing on box using its "pc file transfer" function. turn on the service and you can access your box contents via browser on your mobile or pc. Will check out File Commander. Thanks for the recommendation. |

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Feb 1 2017, 08:34 PM) download the premium version to elimi ads I will try free version first and if it suits me, I will purchase if it's not expensive. - shows hidden files - copy files in root - web storage integration - manage file from mobile/pc Manage file from mobile/pc is what I'm looking for since I sideload APKs most of the time. |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Feb 1 2017, 10:08 PM) Hmm, perhaps they issued an update to that effect or it was not available on the free version, cuz at the time of uninstalling, I don't recollect ever seeing such an option. Yes, it's available now. I'm using the free version. Err.. What talk you? I had a 1GB RAM box once and used properly, no "lag"... This isn't Windows on a PC we are talking about. I will let you know that some boxes with 2GB RAM can play certain media files (smoothly) that would crash or freeze on even most PCs with 4GB RAM and above. Is there any 4GB RAM box? If there's, it will be very limited choices. I only see 2GB most of the time and even my 3GB RAM box is pretty rare too. |

QUOTE(dwRK @ Feb 1 2017, 10:18 PM) I see. I just know it's very rare.QUOTE(voncrane @ Feb 1 2017, 10:19 PM) Probably still bloated.. Like me a lean performer.. Yes, it's pretty bloated. I'm a minimalist most of the time, looks like I will check out those apps suggested earlier and get rid of ES File Explorer. I just need one app that I can easily transfer files from mobile/PC to my box. There have been a few... For today's purposes, its generally overkill especially with the way the Android OS and media boxes are designed to run. IMO, other priorities such as extensive firmware support and good hardware+software combo rank way higher. Exhibit A Exhibit B P.S. Until we have proper use for it, 4GB RAM makes more sense on a Tablet or Smartphone than on an Android media box. So, there are 4GB boxes. True, even I'm on 6GB RAM phone now, I still find it underutilized for my case. |

QUOTE(dwRK @ Feb 2 2017, 09:07 AM) I like this very much too...about the same as AsusFM but much leaner...15mb vs 52mb(file commander) vs 85mb (AsusFM)... Sir, it's 32GB. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...tor.filemanager Anyways you have 32mb storage...why worry So in conclusion, I should stick back to ES File Explorer? |

QUOTE(dwRK @ Feb 2 2017, 01:45 PM) Use anything you are happy with I don't have USB dac. It you have a USB dac for headphones/communicator lying around, you can use that too TV won't give fulfilling sounds...id get a small amp & proper speakers if I were you... Oh well but my speakers are working if I plug into PC. QUOTE(AVFAN @ Feb 2 2017, 01:53 PM) Your miltimedia probably faulty. Sorry but what is multimedia in audio world/term? Can get a new set if u want better audio. Actually, these multimedia sets are very durable. I have 2 eacan sets, both still working good after 10 years. The speakers and amplifier cum subwoofer can work with an avr too! |

QUOTE(herojack41 @ Feb 3 2017, 12:56 AM) For me, I bought my own box before coming to this thread. It's not a famous box but it's working well for me. The seller seems reputable, after some credit card rebate, I got it around RM 200. It was just shared few pages earlier. Docooler brand. I'm quite happy with it but not sure for others. |

QUOTE(herojack41 @ Feb 3 2017, 01:19 AM) yeah....i think himedia is outta my budget range and not sure about minix will check it out Lazada. u bought your box from lazada or gemfive? at the same time i also contacted a few seller about mibox but most of them doesn't really give info coz im very confuse of mibox lineup as some of it running android tv os and some is full fledge android. Mi Box I read that it's not that straightforward. Hence, I discarded this option. |

Aiyo, guys... Jangan gaduh la.
Android box is a pretty easy thing to setup if you are an Android user. I mean, even girls like me can do it, you guys can too. Just buy a box which you like and good to go. Edit: Chill. I will discard the report for now. Herojack41, don't troll anymore or I will give warning. This post has been edited by fruitie: Feb 3 2017, 01:32 AM |

QUOTE(herojack41 @ Feb 3 2017, 01:36 AM) the so call "senior member" is so helpful and wanted to start spoon feeding me. so i grant him what he wish Hmm. No discussion about illegal stuff here. my initial plan were buying the mibox off taobao and figure it out myself. but is kinda waste of time to deal with it as it not so straight forward and china mainland version is different too. planning to do some not-so-legal-thing MiBox is very popular in China but i don't want to crack my head to think so much, I chose an easier path. |
