My 1st hands on impression coming from my old Minix 2gb ram/8gb emmc running 4.2.2.

-Apps launches very fast.
- Kodi video streaming is very smooth up to 1080p. No issues.
- Tested playing 4k short video on Kodi from  pendrive. Very slight lag. Audio n video is good. Did not notice any black banding.
- Much faster to go into n play those add on movies.
- Heat on the box is acceptable just warm after 6hrs.
-The Rii wireless keypad remote is surprisingly user friendly. Will need time to get use to it though.

With my  limited knowledge on Android box I can only say is really good for my daily use. Mostly on kodi with only 3 add ons and 2 additional apps install for now.

Could be a flash sale maybe as there was a reloaded 11.11 sale after 11.11 sale...

anyone here using custom launchers? just got my hands on the minix neo u1 yesterday, and wondering if there are better launchers.. the last discussion here on custom launchers was from almost a year ago and wondering if you guys are using something else now..

the main thing i dislike on the minix launcher is the big kodi tile is actually just a folder, and i'll need an extra click to get to the app i need..

I'm planning to evaluate SquareHome 2, which seems to be the favourite on minixforum, and TVLauncher, which seems real clean and simple..

any other suggestions/recommendations?

I am thinking of getting xiaomi tv box 3 (global). This one have english menu and is catered for english market.

My requirement:
- must be able to used immediately without lots of customization (like flashing third party firmware or something)
- must support chromecast
- must be able to watch korean dramas easily
- can play movies easily from my shared storage
- a plus if have features like voice command and gyroscope controller...

I think most people uses kodi for watching korean tv series. If that is the case..possible with kodi support?

Not sure whether rooting is important but as long as can do the above then rooting or not is really required.

Anyone can recommend something as good as mi tv box 3 or something better?

BTW...budget is less than RM300.

xiaomi tv box 3 matches those criterias except price. Can get for around RM330 with latest blackfriday sales. Anyway..maybe have other better choices...hope veterans here can advice...thanks.

My Beelink MINI MXIII II disconnects the WIFI connection by itself and doesn't automatically connects back again. I need to reconnect it manually.
Any ideas on this? Or it is because of one of my many apk's that is causing this?

No, I'm using a TP Link router
The funny thing is that I had previously the same type of box which I had set up for my niece, been running it for over a month at the same place before I handed over to her and that box did not disconnect by itself.
I have 2 other another boxes, MXQ Pro and ZIDOO X1 II, both running fine but then again both of these boxes are quite near the router. Is the Beelink MINI MXIII II prone to poor wifi reception? I'm subscribing unifi 30Mbps, I have run the speed test on the box and only got at best around 10Mbps. On my Note 4 at the same area, I've recorded full 30Mbps speed.

can i know what is the reason for going other models instead of xiaomi mi box 3?
