i'm perfectly serious.

the ASC can be turned off, and the KNN drop in air filter does not yield much difference and if you still aren't convinced, i still have the original denso air filter kept in the knn packaging for use when i need to wash the knn filter.

that said, i'll go back to k3's mapping whenever he's free la lol.

Do you have what is the brand of our stock brake pad? It should be Proton but not Mitsu right.

I just checked with the shop that Original first grade Mitsu brake pad at Rm290. As usual the spare part shop always dun recommend any after market brake pad due to may damage the rotor.

Now want to change the braided brake hose and brake pad coz the car cannot stop in shorter distance.

akebono is rm450 just for front set.

I saw also,but i think it's down to the car kan.no car is equal,so some i heard got knock,but some review very good with no knock.of course,ini semua teori bodoh saya

ok before i reply this let me just say some things to clairfy ya..

1. i dont join any clubs...
2. i dont know who this otoman or watever his name is.. never met him, dont think i ever will
3. i have no beef with anyone so my comments here are totally unbiased.
4. sorry if it takes me forever to reply stuff.. im not always around...

so anyway, when i got my car, i felt the acceleration is rather linear as compared to the old school mivecs.
i thought it was just me so i didnt really care.

having contacts who are mechs and tuners, i brought my car for a diagnostics run to see whats going on... when the guy drove it, it was apparent it wasnt normal. so, we plugged in his gizmos and started testing it out.

now, the day we tested it was perfect... we had hot weather, then it rained then it got humid.

hot weather, the knock sensor detected quite a high number of knocks from the low to medium rev ranges.

rain - minimal knocks

humid, knocks started to come back until the weather  heated up and the knocks got worse again.

also, from what my mechanic was looking at, he said the map was obviously from a 2 liter car (mine is 1.8) i cant remember if it was a lancer map or an inspira map.

so in regards to the comment "some ppl says its ok" i would assume it is because they are driving a 2.0

Its a 1.8 map. But not specifically tune for malaysia petrol ..
The high knocking is quite common for 1.8 due to the high compression 10.5:1 comparing to 2.0 which is 10:1..
And the genius otomen manage to put 1.8 cvt map into 2.0 and causes massive knock.. Then blame on the petrol quality.

And what i did to reduce the knock.. Enrich some of the lean portion of the map, which was commonly use (common powerband)... Yet still have knock but much lesser.. Lighter engine oil helps as well..
