Hi, I want to join the NJOI family. I live in a Condo where everything is already prepared for satellite TV, so I don´t need a dish or installation. Just the decoder and the card. What´s the price for this?

And if I understand this correct, I can book all EURO 2016 matches with the prepaid offer for RM 105, right?

You will need to pay the amount of RM400++ during installation, it is a one time payment.

400++, why so high?

their website writes "Recommended Retail Price *RM285" and I don´t need any installation.

RM385 including installation and activation.
You can keep the dish.

Only the installer can activate the smartcard.

What is the cost/price if I just ended my Astro Beyond HD and want NJOI ?

It is just a simple account change on Astro-NJOI end or does the dish needs to be adjusted ? or a new card is needed ? or installer need to come and key in some special codes ?

Thanks.

Dish doesnt need to be adjusted but the decoder must be changed to NJOI decoder.

Are you sure ? From what I read in NJOI website and some forum post, the Astro Beyond decoder can be used. Anyone can confirm this ?

Just talked to Astro to find out more about the conversion to NJOI.

So my Beyond HD decoder, remote and dish is free when I subscribe to Astro. As confirm by Astro, I own it and can do whatever I want once the subscription ends.

But if I were to convert to NJOI, I have to pay RM 3++ because in-directly, Astro is selling the equipment above to me.

So the equipment is free if I am an Astro customer.

But if I convert to NJOI, the equipment is sold to me, hence the high price for the conversion.

In conclusion, the RM 99 conversion does not exist or is not available now.

I think I will just skip this conversion since I am only looking at Channel 321.

The breakdown for anyone with Astro monthly subscription to change to NJOI is as below :

RM 199 for conversion fee.
RM 228 for the current Astro decoder set.
6% GST

Total : RM 452.62.

Wise option is to apply for a new NJOI account since it is cheaper and with 12 month warranty on the refurbished unit. Refurbished unit consist of decoder, remote and dish that is with 12 months warranty. They will not use your old dish.

Update : I was told by NJOI telemarketer to return the Astro Beyond HD, PSU and remote back to Astro Customer service if I do not want any problems in the future if I were to resubscribe to Astro monthly subscription. The dish they do not need it back.

This is what Astro reply on the conversion:

"For conversion from normal account to NJOI, you will have to pay conversion fee of RM210.95 + RM228, settle all outstanding and current charge in the account and the account must not be bound with any contract any longer."

Thanks for the offer ! But since my Astro has been disconnected yesterday, I will leave NJOI out for now.
Please do ask if your uncle can do the downgrade for free and let him know mine is inactive as of yesterday.
If too much hassle, then no problem.. thanks.
