quite a limited choice of 3-day package for us who want to use only on weekends, for example.

planning to relocate my unit to my wife kampung house. it has not been used at my house for a long time now.

If it is temporary and you don't want the hassle, just bring the Astro box over to that house (that has Astro dish installed) and just plug n play. It'll still work.

Remember this 3 items:
- Astro box
- Power adapter
- Astro remote control
- HDMI cable

If that house already has remote control and HDMI cable, then you can choose no need to bring them. Just the astro box and power adapter would do.

no.. permanently. i have already brought my extra dish there but not installed yet. no i dont wish to watch it at home anymore. got plenty of other "alternatives" because of internet biggrin.gif . at my wife kampong area, no internet & fon network is very poor, & at the moment the only "entertainment" comes from mytv freeview channels. but my point is if there's not enough 3-day packs on offer, it might not be worth bringing over. longest we ever stay there at a time is 3 days.

3 days of some entertainment from Astro/Njoi is still better than nothing lolll, considering you are in a place of limited Internet access.
Since you said it is permanent, then just get your Astro dish installed at your wife's kampong house, then just put the Astro box there.
If you want the relocation process to be more "official", then just contact Astro about it, then they'll assign a technician to carry out relocation work for you, and they may charge you with some fees.

Don't dismantle the Astro dish at your own house yet. Cuz in the future when you feel like you want to watch Astro at your own home again, just bring the Astro box back again, and plug n play.
Yeah, bring the Astro box back and forth between houses, whenever you need.

There are people does that, especially when they go back their kampung.
Like let's say their Astro box subscribed to more packages, while the one at kampung house's is only Njoi.
So during family gathering, when one of them brings their Astro box back to the kampung house, then everyone can enjoy more TV channels compared to boring Njoi channels.

Of course, do it at your own risk la... Don't tell this to Astro 🤫🤫🤫🤫
Right now what Astro you're currently using, and what packages you're on?

Every Saturday 10:30 pm there is a free Bundesliga match on 801. Certainly no top teams like Bayern or Dortmund but I like to watch. Otherwise you need one of the mentioned packages.

And there are a couple of non-sports channels free now until 26th Jan. Just saw the advertisement when my kids watch 344, so I dont know which exactly.

A hard sell oriented Njoi salesperson will tell you this:

And I would ask the salesperson "What did you do with Eurosport"? biggrin.gif

I usually booked the RM65 Mega pack last year, but mainly for Formula 1 and Eurosport. Not so much interest in football, if there is a free Live game on 801 I sometimes watch. Bundesliga quite entertaining no matter what match it is.

Then that same hard-sell salesperson will tell you:

"Well, why not subscribe to Astro's Sports Pack? Very cheap only. We have a promo now, it's only as low as RM84 a month!

Eventually the story ends, with you subscribing to Astro instead of Njoi prepaid.
This is called "upselling". tongue.gif

I answer "Well, salesperson, unfortunately I am often away from home because of work. Every year about 2 months in Europe, 1 to 2 months in China. So flexible Njoi Prepaid is perfect for me, Astro no use. OK, except in this special situation. Where I was NEVER outside Malaysia in the last 16 Months except exactly two days in Singapore January 2020" laugh.gif

But if this all continues, I really could change to Astro, RM 84 if you use it every month is great. But it hopefully will not continue and so I asked "Why you kicked out Eurosport of the Mega pack?" cry.gif

The sales person would tell you "Then sorry la, there's nothing we can do about that. Eurosport channel out of Sports Mega Pack is not our decision. Probably the marketing department's decision. "

If you ask me personally, I would suggest you ask your friends or relatives that subscribes to Astro, and also subscribes to Sports pack, and then ask them to pinjam you their Astro Go account (email and password), so that you can watch all the sports channels right on your devices on Astro Go. You personally deal with them la, whether you want to "contribute" some amount of money to them or not. Hahahaha...

If they never use Astro Go before, that's even better. That means the account can be literally belongs to you already. Hahahaha... Just create Astro ID and then link to their Astro account, and that's it.
Don't need to bother about Njoi Prepaid and all those things anymore.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Astro Go is blocked when you are abroad, cannot use with non-malaysian IP. Same with all other streaming services, Unifi TV, iFlix, Netflix and so on. But thats normal, everywhere the same.

I am fine with Njoi, let´s see what I take when F1 starts again.

There's been a rumours spreading around, suggesting that Astro are currently have no stock for Njoi set-top-boxes, meaning new customers that wish to sign up Njoi may not able to do so for a while (until they have stocks, which nobody knows when).
Another rumours also, suggesting that Astro may temporarily or permanently stop offering Njoi no monthly fee option in the near future. sweat.gif
It feels like the end of Njoi is coming soon? Or it could be fake news? I don't know. Can't confirm about that.

If he doesn't want to pay for TV, then guide them on receiving/watching digital TV channels via UHF antenna instead. That one confirm no monthly fee. biggrin.gif
