What's SMIM??
And Vilja, awesome choice of companion mod! She's an essential mod for me ever since Oblivion. Helped the modder with bug testing and troubleshooting back then when the mod first came out. The modder's a very awesome lady! Really love her works!
And as someone mentioned earlier. Frostfall and Realistic Needs are definitely a must! I tried Hunterborn and decided to not use it. Have a little too many mods and scripts running, don't feel like I should burden my laptop even more. Frostfall and Realistic Needs are enough for my immersion and RP purposes.
My essential mods besides the ones mentioned by you and everyone else
-wearable lanterns
-Ultimate FOllower Overhaul (UFO)
-Equipping Overhaul
-Dual Sheath Redux
-Dance of Death (changes the % of killcam happening)
-TK Dodge (Let's you dodge attacks and there's animation to it)
-mods that populate the cities, roads and all that
-Whiterun Market (adds a market outside the main gate of Whiterun, makes Whiterun feels more busy and fitting of being the trading hub of Skyrim)
-Bandoliers (adds bandoliers, pouches etc to increase carry weight and makes you feel like you are actually an adventurer carrying all your tools and loot)
I love animation mods (not too over the top stuff), and one that I am madly in love is YY Anim Replacer - Mystic Knight
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33914...d%3D33914&pUp=1The animations look better and cooler and the sheathing animation is very very cool!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuLmViFn6f0SMIM is Static Mesh Improvement Mod. Really improves the texture quality of a lot of items.
Wearable Lanterns is necessary if you use RLO as it's too dark otherwise.
I use Amazing Follower Tweaks though both are similar, just with a wee bit different interfaces.
Agh, I forgot about TK Dodge. I remember I wanted to install at least one combat mod, and that was it.
And forgot Bandoliers as well. Damn. Have to restart a new game to install those mods.
