Correct.. or rather.. more effective method is snip, clean the nubs, sand.. then prime and paint before assembling.. assembling and taking apart to paint will send u to masking hell

QUOTE(rx330 @ Apr 28 2014, 03:00 PM) https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1167507/+20 I think chriswoo is a bad comparison because he is a master alrdy if u can see, in the case of the shifu chriswoo i seen many in blog also do it in this manner, is it to have a rough idea how it is then plan out on the painting? Best practice is always to spray part by part as almost everything will be the same color and save u A LOT of masking and time.. u are free to do whichever method u wish, though like i said.. part by part is best because u can just spray parts with similar color in one go without worrying too much about separation |

QUOTE(rx330 @ Apr 28 2014, 03:22 PM) ok thanks, hence is it okay for me to say i sand every part, then prime every part then i paint by colors, e.g one shot paint all white parts, then the subsequent colors, assemble, panel line, decal then flat coat? i feel you are just repeating your question or i should just spray by category? complete the hands, then the legs, the heads etc honestly this is just logical, in terms of saving work and time.. i don't know why you keep asking whether or not to spray assembled parts.. this is NOT the best way for a beginner at all maybe you need to try it for yourself then you'll understand |

QUOTE(rx330 @ Apr 29 2014, 10:36 AM) hahaah, sorry, i dont mean as in assemble part Well u should categorize them if u dont feel like working on a puzzle later after spraying.. its up to how u work.. if u feel u can work in the way that is spray, assemble, spray assemble.. then go for it.. i personally prefer to spray every single part.. then slowly assemble it and see everythingcome togetheras in disassembled but categorized just wanna find out the correct work flow becos due on my old pattern, i used to nub sand a few parts, then spray, then forgot this or that part then spray again, but that was when i was using spray can as im starting AB now, it seems i cant be following this work flow sorry Hxiiik, but appreciate your replies |

QUOTE(mdshaman @ May 3 2014, 07:42 PM) Point 7.. There will be another gimmick.. only not shown yet. And the bazooka is meant for the sinanju since if taken out, the sinanju will have no weapons, i guess. unless they decide to split the plate in half, Sinanju shares weapon parts with the other grey parts so he might get his rifle, beam axes and shieldunless they rework the plate to include the bazooka instead, but for such a price, i think it's unreasonable to remove a few parts that would otherwise have made little difference |

QUOTE(:3mushy:3 @ May 3 2014, 10:50 PM) If I were Bandai, I would just give all the accessories in its original mold i find that it's quite underwhelming when u think about it at Dendo's pricepoint.. because dendo really blew us away with the gimmicks and sheer size of it at that timeHowever, seeing this kit up until this point, I'm absolutely having no interest in it. Maybe they did a mistake by announcing it much earlier than the release of Episode 7 where we will see what the Neo Zeong is all about. maybe we're just a bit spoiled and expect more.. maybe we just need to see the Neo Zeong in action before deciding as well |

QUOTE(madmoz @ May 7 2014, 04:14 PM) hmm... actually i find it a hassle to bring locally available gunpla back from overseas. damned boxes so unwieldy. gunpla prices from the specialty shops and local internet sellers quite reasonable wor. Seconded.. if i were to go overseas i'd hunt down all the limiteds for sure.. downside is its worth less if u dont keep the boxes so u have to find space for the box instead of hunting for 'cheaper than malaysia' I prefer to hunt for limited items that are not quite readily available in malaysia basically the non bandai stuff or stuff like gft 7 eleven kits. |

QUOTE(TaurusOxford @ May 13 2014, 11:41 PM) When I think of "High Detail Appearance" and "Sophisticated Parts Composition", a NG is not what comes to mind. If anything, it sounds more like Nu/Sazabi ver. ka type kits. my thoughts exactly.. Nu and Sazabi ver ka are two of the most amazing gunpla i have ever seen, and i have always wished more releases would get that kind of treatment.. they really are the pinnacle of the hobby and i look forward to what bandai has in store this weekend |
