But i wondering was it really warrant to have a category of it own tho if that the case ? hmm.gif
*
maybe its time and they wanna push out more Nu/Sazabi ver ka style and complexity kits tongue.gif
i'm hoping this is true.. those are really quality kits and i don't mind having an entire line just for them tongue.gif
like a 1/100 RG

Current MG is 1/100 RG. With the recent ver ka and 3.0 kits, the only true difference between RG and MG at this point is pre-assembled innerframe, and that is vastly inferior to a true proper innerframe. Upscalling a RG is pretty much a step backward rather then forward at this point.

If this new line is just to separate between the ver ka and 3.0 styling to normal releases then its pretty much a pointless gimmick as I dont c the needs to do so.
*
that was for lack of a better term, much like how HG was THE 1/144, now we have RGs that are 1/144
so i was referring to something like a transition from HG -> RG.. MG -> whatever they may call the new line

I can see the addition of gimmicks and the sort.. which would honestly be disappointing.. maybe they'll have better color separation for inner frames, more mechanical and moving parts, better looking mobile suits all round? I would absolutely love to see the mobile suit having more realistic mechanisms and moving parts.. maybe that might be the detailing
More parts is always better.. i would even fork out the money for the higher price that follows as long as they look damned good
But until this weekend, we'll just be speculating.. i just hope its not overhyped by bandai again

like mentioned earlier, we all don't know much yet, only thing we can confirm it's 1/100 scale
it could be 1/100 HG, to produce kits previously too expensive to be made into MG
or it could be a MG line cater to MSV, somewhat like HG Thunderbolt series
or my prediction that it could be statue plastic kits

we'll know the answers in 3 days time  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
erghhh.. please no.. that's pretty bad
i second the opinion that maybe they're going to do 1/100 HG.. revival of the NG line by making MSVs too darned expensive to be made into MGs.. i think this is the most plausible one

QUOTE(TaurusOxford @ May 15 2014, 10:25 AM)
Probably the same reason for Nightingale and Gundam Mk.III: Bandai can't justify paying for MG engineering for kits that not many people will desire to buy. I think this line is going to see a lot of kits that a few hardcore fans want (like TV Wing kits for example), but Bandai can't justify putting in MG form.
*
Then hopefully if response is good, they might put out actual MGs.. maybe this is their line to test the waters.. some realky quick MSV releases to appease fans and test the market demand for such kits

Nonsense. The Hi-Nu ver. ka looks excellent. I really applaud Katoki for staying true to Hi-Nu's original design as opposed to his traditional aesthetics for mobile suits.
*
I disagree.. katoki, for me, was one who always made the most of the mobile suit's design while maintaining some of its original aesthetics.. ver ka always had that added touch of detail and engineering i always found to be quite pleasing
I'd much rather have a ver ka that really creates an impressive silhouette for the hi nu, much like nu and sazabu ver ka, rather than to have a hi nu that looks only slightly better than the original hi nu.. to me it only evokes the RD hi nu, not very ver ka at all

in my opinion, it's a plus that the Hi-Nu is a whole different design than the Nu Ver Ka
if it was derived from Nu Ver Ka design then it would be Bandai milking Nu Ver Ka's frame and slapping on a different backpack sleep.gif
*
Then what will u say if they milk the 2002 frame? brows.gif

why are u guys complaining about the nightingale design? omit? it's about as easy as omitting the wings from Wing Gundam because they're not plausible or you don't like them.. they are designing based on the anime/manga/original design, and you cannot expect them to just.. omit.. something.. you might as well not buy it if it's not to your fancy, or just 'omit' it yourself when u buy it and build it whistling.gif whistling.gif

if u buy, good whistling.gif if u don't buy.. then it doesn't affect me either.. i'm just saying, why complain about other people's designs (which, by the way, is actually making money)
if you don't like it and still want it, do something about it when u get it whistling.gif whistling.gif like don't attach the crotch piece on your model

QUOTE(Cactite @ May 17 2014, 10:11 PM)
Nah dude, sorry if it seemed rude but it was just to start a discussion, see what people think. I am on this forum because I love Gunpla, and I am talking about the Nightingale because I care for it, any comments are more just to talk and chit chat with others. For example, I don't plan on buying the Doven Wolf, and I never mention it.
*
not that it's rude or what.. and i'm not against any discussion.. just that i feel it is illogical to complain about what has been designed and look that way.. because obviously bandai will not just omit something like that when it is already a part of nightingale.. if u remove it, it's not the nightingale anymore.. which is my point
so a design will never ever satisfy EVERYONE (trust me, i'm in a design industry), so that's why there's modifications going on among modellers.. so they do what they like.. a designer cannot satisfy every single end user

QUOTE(onnylam @ May 17 2014, 10:13 PM)
Cannot say all, 'mostly' is more appropriate...
Hi-Nu ver Ka HWS is an example, the Neo-Zeong circle of light (or whatever they call it), is another...
I seriously dunno how many ppl are actually supporting these Pandais, maybe Japanese in majority, because we're certainly spoiling them...
One after another, recolor version, add-on parts, these exclusives are becoming more and more common (MG Banshee Norm an exclusive, wtf?)
Like what HxiiiK said, we haven't even have a good look at the Hi-Nu Ka, they fast fast announced a HWS ver?  doh.gif

As always, nobody forcing us to buy them, but when you saw one you really like, what will you do?
*
what will you do? let me walk you through step by step tongue.gif
1 : denial - 'nope, just nope, bandai will do regular release according to anime, just you wait'
2 : anger - 'WTF, why can't bandai just do regular release? everything also want to fking p-bandai.. think we all made of money ar'
3 : bargaining - 'come on, this one should've been p-bandai.. why make the anime accurate one p-bandai
4 : depression - 'this month no need to eat already... everything i want also p-bandai... what the hell man...'
5 : acceptance - 'ok lah, buy only, p-bandai then p-bandai la.. it's something i want and will be happy to have'

Neo zeong
1/144
About 86cm tall
20k yen retail price
around rm600+
sweat.gif sweat.gif
*
25k whistling.gif and it's 750 with shipping, as seen from one of the few local shops putting up pre-orders for him.. expect around 750-800 for the thing
worst part is, the ring effect part is p-bandai.. so expect to spend another 100 or so to ensure your Neo Zeong is anime accurate whistling.gif

Yes, this is the part i mentioned, it broke into half when i used too much pressure on it, super glue not working as the part is too small, what can I do?
*
Use tamiya or mr hobby cement.. should be no problem since i thinm the part is not structural? I mean u probably wont lose mobility even without it
