The pinyin typing of this phone just sucks...
I think most ppl who type Chinese should know about this...
And it's ringtone is just like the tone from hell too...
The bass is loud until you just like hearing the awful bass only when your phone ring.
This applied to all mp3.If you want nice ringtone, then choose polyphonic but what's the purpose using polyphonic ringtone in a mp3 phone?

And if you connect your phone with the usb cable oftenly, just beware.
I kena once. My can't access any game and applications at all.
It just keep on telling me "Operation failed"
This cost me RM50 to reinstall the firmware...

This is really a awful phone, about the 3G, well, i don't think it's image quality is reliable.

I am planning to sell it right away.....And switch to Nokia 6300 which is slim and wonderful, i don't mind switch from a crappy 3G phone to a wonderful non-3G phone

has anyone here tried the k610i A2DP function with a stereo bluetooth headset? if u haf can u pls comment on its functionality and performance? thanks heaps in advance.

Added on June 9, 2007, 12:10 pmi haf a 512MB m2 card and it doesnt lag for me - and i store heaps of videos on it as well. I am very pleased with this phone. I am a proud owner of one frankly it does not lag or hang in any way for me. USB connection has been great for me. I'm not sure about the chinese pinyin as i do not use it so i wont comment. The bass is loud so essentially that is a good thing if u want to amplify the sound. The sound quality is very good. I'm not sure about u but with me, my ringtones are encoded in 192kbps and they sound great. i guess it's just an unlucky circumstance for u that u got a crappy one. It really is a good phone in terms of price and quality.

Yes, it's compatible but it's best that you upgrade your latest firmware to get the best performance as it may lag though. (lots of stuff in the memory card)

hey mike..thanks for the explaination..however i'm facing problem for connecting my handset to Maxis 3G.

Btw, I've installed all the 3G configurations requested from http://maxisweb.wdsglobal.com.

But when I tried to browse a webpage...my handset returned this error "Connection failure. Check Settings......xxx".

I've also tried to send a mms to my own number.. but the mms was bounced to OutBox with "QUEUED" status.

Okay guys, just wanna check. What's the latest firmware for K610i? I managed to update my K800i via SEUS but no luck with K610i but the difference is my K800i is an ori set whereas my K610i is an AP set.

im using r1cb001 firmware without any prob, plus with my m2 1gb scandisk...

so, the problem lies on your phone ONLY, not the whole k610i users

hardware problem maybe? have u brought it to ur centre to check?

if u're lucky u'll get APAC version.mine is europe version so i cant comment on it.

as for the casing, i think u can replace it, but with ori ones, cos i've never see a grade A, or AA or AAA casing for k610i..

i'd say that this phone, judging from its price i bought it last month at RM620 from kennywongyf, is a sleeper hit from Sonyericsson.

iianm theres no other brand that offers 3G capabilities at this price, except that not-so-slim motorola v3x
