wow, i upgraded the firmware
you can do it yourself, just go to SE website (select your own region, Malaysia) --> Support, select K610i, then download the Update service (arnd 23mb)

install it in your PC and use the program with your phone connected to the USB cable supplied....step by step guidance in the program....

the GB firmware allows you to type in contact's name when you search, good update!!!

but too bad, no update for the 1000 contacts limit....should not put a limit, since there's memory slot

tried video call, not that stable la the line and not that smooth lo......

yup after i receive some funny call (no sound one , funny number showed)

trying to look for z610i black..so hard to find..evrywhere also don have ><""

i find edi at one utama..new one ori by midland..now promotion there..sony tour

yup , i have and it works.

this phone , however ... battery life is horrible. i charge until full , and after 2 hrs of music the phone starts to go red batt.

3G reception probably is problem, the other issue is the Video Call Camera.. try VC under brighter place u will see the different.

do u switch to 3G/GSM dual network?

If u want to buy K610i ... please dont buy CID51 .. hard to reflash using third party app. trust me ... sometime SEUS cannot totally 'reformat' your K610i ....

still using Sony Black and white phone Z18 cannot get the batt (batt spoil).

if you dont buy CID51, that means you are getting old stock, possibly second hand/refurbished unit etc with CID49.

SEUS is just to update the firmware, but doesnt reformat the phone. if you want to reformat, why not just do a master reset. and what for that you need to reformat or clean flash your firmware so often?

but true with cid51, meant harder for third party software to customise/mod the phone.. but that if only if u wanted to mod/customise ur phone.

Guys, do you realize that when we use the k610 to do video call, the phone will heat up really fast. Even if you stop camera its still heats up. Any way to go around this?

it's cold in Australia now, so i don't really notice.

I dun really experience this actually, my mother is using K610i and my gf is using K618i, even video call for more than 20 mins, still okay wor. Something wrong with your battery?

What is CID51?
