Yeah, I want to know too. The loudness cannot be changed.

Well, the alarm's volume is fixed but you can always choose a loud ringtone for it, that should wake you up.

oh yea...alarm ringtone is ascending one....i usually put 2 alarm...10 mins interval...so when im semi awake after the 1st alarm...i sorta noticed it....

no.mine is 9 mins interval.

Hi Guys, i just bought K610i and tried using http://gmail.com/app , the J2ME app for Gmail Mobile.

Downloading is no issue and installing is no issue.I can even connect for the first time.The email is fast and we can view attachments as well.

The only problem is that subsequently when i try to use the app again, i am unable to connect .

Have anyone faced the same problem?

i dunno wor...d only application i use is d tennis game inside...sorry ya cant help...

Hi all. I'm a first time SE user & bought the K610i last Thurs. Have been a Nokia user for the last 10 years.

I have 3 questions:

1. I can't search for contact nos by using more than 1 letter. It only recognise the 1st letter. Eg. To search for Jimmy; When I key in J + I + M + ... : my contact stays at the first contact no with the letter J, eg. Jamal. Then I have to scroll down to find Jimmy. Is this normal? My brother's SE Z520i can search by using all letters. How do I 'activate' this search method?

2. I can't set different ringtones to different caller groups. Can only use the caller group to send multiple sms. How to enable this function?

3. What is the latest firmware available for this phone?

>> I just got my K610i as well, if you key in the J +I+M continuously, the search bar at the top will show JIM and will sort your list accordingly.
>> If you key in J pause I pause M pause, then you will be just searching for J alone.

1. did as you said - still my contact search stays at the first contact no with the character (J). it is somehow ignoring all the other next few characters even though at the top of th phone displays JIM. didn't pause - did them continuously. what next?

If I am not mistaken, when your phone's firmware have chinese supports then you can't search a contact using multiple letters. If you want to search a contact using multiple letters then you will have to flash it with a firmware that doesnt support chinese.

Maybe you look at updating your firmware?

I have Chinese SW Enabled ( i can write and read chinese using K610) but i dont face the same problem you do...

try the Sony Update Service (SEUS)

1. On the contact search matter. Got it solved. Deleted all my contacts in the phone. verified all the contact full names format in outlook. made sure all contact are in first name field. then synch again with k610i. the search by all character works now.

seems that my previous contacts were saved in different format, some in first names, some in last names, some mixed. confused the phone i think.

have anyone experienced the problem when the menu change name...things like Menu Options suddenly become numbers E.g.

Profiles Change To F4:3028
Time & Date To : F4:3078

etc?

Did they give you a reason that u can't connect? What is the reason than maybe i can help you.

lag lor...if you go back to main menu and into phone settings again..it will be ok one

yes I did came across that few times.Sometimes when I wanna turn to silent mode,it shows "filent"... some words change into numbers.weird. and i think I'll send my phone for check up in SE center.

1. a few of my contacts assigned with specific caller ringtone doesn't work. have checked that it does not have any other duplicate nos. any experience out there?
