yep, 1channel is good for popular tv series. subs are available too.

mashup is good too, if not better.

so far, i watched breaking bad and walking dead on these channels, all good.

i never got anything good from dailyflix using himedia and tv - either the hd stuff stutters, audio noise or dun work at all.

if u dun mind, share with us if u are using xbmc on pc, notebook, mac, ipad or tablet as i suspect that may make a difference? tq.

in the beginning with xbmc, 1channel and mashup works best for me. not hd-720p dd5.1 sutff as most of them lag. some 720p aac 2.0 ok.

then with xunity added, it's a bit of a haywire... too much in there but not many work well. i just wish these guys go separate ways , detach xbmc from xunity. now it's really a mashed-up! still, this is what i found ok at this time with xunity/xbmc frodo 12.3-mashup 1.4.

... imo, tops is mashup, i like ilive-live tv - all the stuff seen in astro
... iwo ok, some smooth stuff
... 1channel - usualy ok, sometimes dun work
... azdrama - sd ok, 720p lag sometimes
... football today all hd streams lag, no fun
... istream - looks promising, mostly ok for sd stuff

my fav source is movreel.

a word about hitv... youku and the rest not so good. best is vqq. been glued to this for weeks now. usually hd works good, if lag, switch to sd, sure ok to finish the episode.

last word - this streaming thingy is far from perfect, so torrenting is still very popular. someone told me what we have now is in many ways same as in the 60s-70s when people buy shortwave (sw) radios to listen to voice of america, bbc, china radio, etc - some channels clear, others very noisy, not everything work... so the phonograph stayed on for a while until cassettes-vhs-cd-dvds-blurays arrive!

not a bad idea f this thread is extended to all good addons, channels and sources!

ya... maybe too early but do we know which addon-channel will do live worldcup 2014 in june-july yet?

is this for PC, browser or androidtv, found within xbmc?

any trusted link to install n play?

sorry, i just realised this thread is for all streaming, not just androids or xbmc....

i was refering to hitv, an addon that comes with himedia androids.



same kind of thing like usa based huluplus or netflix where u do need to muck around with ip, open dns, proxies.

google around, u'll find some useful tips. this probably isn't the right place for it...

bro, my 1channel gone dead... message is script/link error, something to do with the ban in uk, even ticking on uk proxy at xbmc-xunity doesn't help. any idea what i need to do?

my xbmc-xunity went haywire this morning in that it wudn't shutdown at exit, 1channel wun work, istream showed nothing available...

so, at last resort, i unistalled and reinstalled xbmc frodo 12.3. got 1 channel, icefilms back to work.

but... can't find mash up! forgot how i got it last time!

any idea where it is located, which repository? in fusion or xfinity?

is a there a zip to download, good for android?

yes, mashup 1.4.0 offers quite a bit more, better organized.

guys n gurls, if u haven't, check it out. be sure to go to mashup settings and add a few more things inside, incl livestream->ilive - this one gives you many live stations of reasonable video quality, a no. of them found in astro like bloomberg and foodnetwork asia!

the most popular ones are tvb.com and azdrama from browser. some in hd, i think. maybe u already have them...

personally, i prefer a mix of mainland and hk stuff from other sites like vqq, pps and pptv.

yes, this azdrama at xbmc works quite well, incl hd stuff. bad news is selection is rather limited.
it only works for the hk and korean shows. china ones, it says not ready.

house of cards is a netflix series, broadcast via web, not normal tv.

season1 was last year, season2 just all released. a political thriller with great drama - conspiracies, betrayals, backstabbing, even murder in the whitehouse.

i just completed watching season2 13 episodes via xbmc. 1channel is the best one to watch as most of the links work, mp4 quality, subtitles easy to find. iwo (i watch online) is good too but subs hard to find as the arrangement is not as good as 1channel. icefilms also has it, even in 720p but i get the lag, no good.

if you have cloudtv, check out the new stuff.

even free content has been improved, a few hd channels too!

under english, nat geo people hd, fox sports, tlc have good video.

there was a new movie channel showing thor dark world but has since disappeared.

i m not a sports fan but will want to watch worldcup in june-july.

i notice in cloudtv and xbmc navi-x, mashup, there are many channels like fox sports, sky sports, bt sports, star sports, nba, espn, etc.

question is what is found where and when!

2 new major movies just become available:

xbmc->mashup->hd movies->yify->hobbit: desolation of smaug 1080 aac 2.0

xbmc->mashup->hd movies->yify->47 ronin 1080 aac 2.0

if not playing with home theater for dts/dtshdma audio, these 1080's with stereo are very good.

no need separate subtitles files, which i doubt will work on xbmc.
easier to activate xbmc subs (which draws on opensubtitles and/or podnapisi) either at settings or click on the subs icon at bottom right of screen.


latest watched:

xbmc->mashup->hd movies->hackermil hd->tinkerbell and pirate fairy 1080 aac2.0
xbmc->mashup->hd movies->hackermil hd->i, frankenstein 1080 aac2.0 (video good, audio not so good)

both can get the right eng subtitles by clicking on subs icon.

think xbmc offers only english and hebrew subs - which tells u who's brains are behind it.


ext subs like .srt... i doubt you can match them with xbmc online videos. even with downlded ones, not always easy to find the right couples...

arm is the right one.
all gothams - beta, 13.0, 13.1 - do not work with himedia. i tried them all with q5ii.
generic xbmc 12.2 or 12.3 works somewhat with himedia, but has 720/1080 lag problems. and crashes often unless u place a relevant advancedsettings.xml file in xbmc/userdata folder.

hiplayer (himedia modified) 12.2 found in firmware 1.0.6 eng emmc works very well, will also work if you install this modified apk on older himedia firmwares. i hv been using this version for a few months now, very stable.


back to streaming site....

if u still haven't found a good live stream for worldcup, check out xbmc navi-x, worldcup live or sports link.

there are more than a dozen channels there, all foreign tv stations broadcasting live - azerbaijan, russian, italian, brazilian, austrian, etc.

the best one i found so far is sbs one live hd, labeled #8 worldcup fifa in some links. this is an australian hd broadcast - english commentary, great video, stable.

for himedia, alternative is mangotv's timeshift cctv1hd and cctv5hd, in mandarin, excellent hd video.

this niter tv is quite good for pc using browser.

yes, think genesis in xbmc is the one but from it, can see it's an "integrator" drawing on links from icefilms, yify and then hugefiles, movreel, etc. not different from mashup, hackermils, demon88, istreams... not sure if this one works differently from the browser one but seems genesis is not as good.

still, nothings beats popcorn time!
