that has two format for android rite ?? one ARM and one is x86 i have done with the ARM with result said not support for the NONE chipset and still haven check with the x86 format

Hi, the Gotham 13.1 doesn't work on Himedia Q10. I tried both already.

Use 12.2 or 12.3 version. My q16 also using this version. memory probem

The version before Gotham 13.1 is working fine. It's 12.3 if I'm not mistaken.

arm is the right one.
all gothams - beta, 13.0, 13.1 - do not work with himedia. i tried them all with q5ii.
generic xbmc 12.2 or 12.3 works somewhat with himedia, but has 720/1080 lag problems. and crashes often unless u place a relevant advancedsettings.xml file in xbmc/userdata folder.

hiplayer (himedia modified) 12.2 found in firmware 1.0.6 eng emmc works very well, will also work if you install this modified apk on older himedia firmwares. i hv been using this version for a few months now, very stable.


back to streaming site....

if u still haven't found a good live stream for worldcup, check out xbmc navi-x, worldcup live or sports link.

there are more than a dozen channels there, all foreign tv stations broadcasting live - azerbaijan, russian, italian, brazilian, austrian, etc.

the best one i found so far is sbs one live hd, labeled #8 worldcup fifa in some links. this is an australian hd broadcast - english commentary, great video, stable.

for himedia, alternative is mangotv's timeshift cctv1hd and cctv5hd, in mandarin, excellent hd video.

Works amazing on any device and all videos are available on streaming in HD 720 (mostly in 1080p)

this niter tv is quite good for pc using browser.

yes, think genesis in xbmc is the one but from it, can see it's an "integrator" drawing on links from icefilms, yify and then hugefiles, movreel, etc. not different from mashup, hackermils, demon88, istreams... not sure if this one works differently from the browser one but seems genesis is not as good.

still, nothings beats popcorn time!

here comes a competitor to popcorn time!

the arrival of ZONA, a russian app. zona and popcorn time will give xbmc a run, a nightmare for some others!

the pc version is excellent - movies, tv series, live russian and european tv, music, sports channels. in russian and english.

the android version is very washed down, very limited, only in russian. will need to wait for better future versions.

i can see more of such apps coming, complete with the whole works!

Slow streaming

which one slow - niter tv, genesis or popcorn time?

using streamyx 8mps slow at popcorn time

try with all other devices off.

if other devices on, using say, 1/2 of 8mbps, u r left with 4mbps=500KBps.
that may be too slow for 1080p. 720p shud be ok.
moreover, streamyx may not be stable and max all the time...

only one device is active which is my pc.
i guess is throttle problem by streamyx.

a tip 4 u, if u havent tried...

go to popcorn time settings and turn on the free vpn. it may help.

don think there have this setting for mac popcorn time.

about hanging, lagging, i just tried with beta 5.0. a 1080p mkv 4.7gb movie - it takes 650KBps or 5.2mbps to stream well.
beta 5.0 has a good new feature: the bar at the bottom shows how fast yr stream is; if below required, it will be displayed in red, green is good.
given that, it will take unifi10 or streamyx 8mpbs at excellent conditions to stream such a file well.
of course, 720p mp4 videos <1gb will require much less.

about vpn, check in mac version if u see a lock widget next to settings. it is there for windows. i find no difference but u can try.
