I don't think I have share USTVnow before because I found USTVnow has less channels. I shared UKTVnow only and it seems this apk is not compatible with Mibox.

Try Solid Streamz. I found the channels vid quality is much better but the streaming can be pain in the a** sometime but sometime it works very well. Probable because of heavy traffic.

ok..pretty sure got it from this thread as someone else shared then...

USTV has some nice Asia channels from Taiwan, China or HK...

UKTVnow works on my tablet but not mi box due to it requires mouse..

yea i did solid streamz n looks good but no chinese channels...

one thing i notice, i prefer the menu like in USTV or HDP over solid stream ...i mean the GUI...

but of course free is free and no complain...lol

You not using CloudTV? it has plenty of Chinese channels from Taiwan, China or HK...

Russia followed suit.

china new vpn rules come into effect in feb 2018... all 3 major carriers will be banning them.

will see how this ban inside china will affect users outside china.

should be ok for now.

2 mibox, 1 sony androidtv and 1 sharp androidtv (me) have said this one does not work.
can safely say it will not work on any device with androidtv.
it is a handy app, works quite well but is just SD.

do not get too frustrated with this one.
over time, like some of us know, u will find dozens of these - they work for a while n then they die.
some work for only a few days while others can work for weeks.
u just need to keep finding new updated ones.

HDP & Flying Pig. all the Cantonese channels does not work if I don't used VPN.

Both, i m not using.... cannot check.

The canto channels are typically more difficult, what i observe in cloudtv.

Moli, cibn, mango... all ok.

HDP streaming tv has those channels removed from their new apk version but using 2.17. these channels still accessible but if they switch on the geo-block. Just like the flying Pig (it will stuck at loading screen)

I have another apps called Fire-star. it also has these channels. Same thing. it doesn't load (channels cannot be load or Channel does not exist), unless I used the Smart DNS proxy.

Oh! just tested CloudTV is affected too. LOL

Thanks for the HDP. Tested just now, loading non-stop.... I don't have VPN.
But it is more friendly if I use a remote controller, else with a mouse very hard to get the channel selection out.

I am using H8.

HDP streaming should be TV box remote friendly.

You can try to download some free VPN from playstore but do take note. Free VPN DNS are shared. So it will lag but sometime it works if the traffic is low.

If you are using HyppTV STB than is useless because TM has disable VPN option in the firmware.

I just found out some European channels are also geo-block now. I tested Solid Streamz Discovery channels, without VPN it just keep loading non stop.

update: HDP streaming, and European channels is back but a few of my others canto channels is dead. I think is not only due to geo-block.

r u sure it is a geoblock issue?

maybe it is just simply bad links, poor maintenance!


i only use google dns and free vpn.

i find that foremost, unifi must not be having its periodical sickness (3-4 times a year during the last 3 years).

if unifi is "china sick", vpn will help.

if it is not sick, no vpn required; in fact, a lousy vpn will make it worse!

at this time, i am having it good - everything i want to get, i get.


anyway, there is simply too much to watch.

my days of trying to have everything working is past.

i just need a few apps working.

Am I so stupid to you? for sure I have tested not only one apps with the VPN turn on.
