First of all, the original music player in symbian phone can play aac~ My Nokia6670 can play aac. smile.gif

blink.gif Ezplayer? It can play all kind of music? Include mp3, aac, wav......? If
yes, I will try to get it~  thumbup.gif

I have a question, can SmartMovie play all AVI? I have a AVI file which my SmartMovie can't play it~ cry.gif
*
if i'm not mistaken, smartmovie can only play selected resolutions, larger or smaller ones will have problems on it. i tried to play a video clip but only can produce the sound.

huh.gif juz curious... can you differentiate high bitrate and low ones? I mean for example 64 and 192kbps? i convert all my mp3s to 64kbps before i upload them to my phone, coz i cannot differentiate them at all on the phone.

It all depends on the phone actually... some phones only support up to 64kbps... For example, Motorola older models. For higher end models like P910i or A1000, u can really see the differences with 192kbps...

Yes definitely. Higher bitrates, higher space...
64kbps is good enough for most phones in the market...

Here's the latest firmware for Symbian phones...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6630
RM-1
v 3.45.11.3 / 4.03.18
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks keropok for the list. Aight about this Sofware version, my 6630 SW version is RM-1 V 2.39.15 and dated (11-11.04). Bought it on December last year.

Seems to me ..mine is wayy outdated. What sort of threats i'm facing lol.
And how can i upgrade it to a latest version? Or it isn't possible to do so?

thanks in advance.

Updated firmware will fix few bugs normally... really depends on the phone model... some updates even add new stuff to the phones...
It is highly recommended to update...

The only way to update is by sending it to Nokia Service centre...

My Nokia 6670 supports 192kbps one but when compared to 128kbps one, it doesn't shows much difference.

I got one more question, can mp3 be "upgraded" to higher kbps? For instance, convert a 64kbps mp3 to 128kbps mp3.Can?

It can be done but it'll make no differences since u are converting from a lower bitrate source... The best would be ripping it from AUDIO CD...

When i get it from CD, its format is AAC, is AAC better than mp3?
It can't be << or >> in the original music player.
