Same experience as I do. Not just the panel, The keyboard too experienced oily surface. I've been searching isopropyl at chemical shop around my area but they are not available. I'll update here if this method works

1) Ask devour if you eligible for reapmore promo. Promo is for retails unit with retail price.
2) it is agreed that the vision is kinda blur but  not too obvious and still readable. The screen resolution is at it best.
3) I've made complain with the Lenovo retail shop at the lowyat ground Plaza about the backpack. During my purchase, my spouse are considering Lenovo S400 and Dell Vostro. Both are thin laptops. But because of their cheapo quality bag she turn to Dell. Girls are not like guys when purchasing a gadget, we are looking to the performance. They're more considering the looks and free gift. And because of that Lenovo lost a potential buyer

Thanks for the reply. Ya was thinking if it's worth it to upgrade screen, or if it's even possible. I read somewhere before that HP's laptop bags are actually Targus, just rebranding. But my Lenovo's 15' looks like I can get it from pasar malam lol.

I've made a video on maintaining the keyboard panel and its button using isopropyl as I mention earlier based on the link that I've posted. And here's the procedure. All you need to have are:

1 x Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA)
1 x cleaning cloth (in this case I'm using glass cleaning cloth)
1 x microfiber cloth (for finishing)

Try to search at pharmacies around you for the alcohol. And do not worry the alcohol is fast evaporate when it is applied. Using water to clean up electronic part might be dangerous, as this method can be considered.

NOTE : This is my own trial. I am not responsible if anything happen to your unit.

COMMENT : The IPA help you cleaning the oil smudge and fingerprint on the panel (and it helps you disinfect bacteria and germs too). After applying those cleaner, your laptop will feel brand new as you first unboxed it. I've tried using the microfiber cloth alone but the result was not so good and it require more effort to clean up the smudge. This will not permanently make your laptop away from the oil smudge but at least keep your laptop clean and looks new

Did anyone has overcome the problem of the yellow color fade out for Lenovo Y50? Have been search for colour calibration over the internet but most of them does not help. We really should send the unit to Lenovo service center.. damn

After using it for few days there's a few issue I've detected:

1) The LAN port
I always goes online by using LAN cable. After done with work I shut down as the normal way it is and go some places. Next I go a place with WiFi connection and I boot up my laptop. My laptop would not recognise any wireless nearby and it thinks that It still connect with the LAN Cable. I've to restart the laptop and boot up again and then it will recognise nearby WiFi. Is that normal?

2) Capslock Button
I try to press the capslock button during the windows interface. The small LED light would not turns on. Instead I've to let it loading a few program first, then it is ok. Have you guys encoutered this?

The problem is not serious but it does bother me. Thats not including the low brightness of the TN Panel as I've come from Lenovo previous flagship Y580. The screen is quite OK if compared to this one. rclxub.gif

I never try the LAN point so I could not give much comments about that. But for sure the wireless adapter has poor reception as the my WIFI router only 4 meter away from my laptop and I only manged to get 3 bars out of 5 sad.gif

About the Capslock button I never encountered the issue as you mentioned, perhaps update the driver will help?

Yes, the screen is marvelous, the screen looks great and sharp on all angle and edge, but the color wash out really make me frustrated..
