Wanna ask smtg is it true oil filter can last only for 5k or 3month. Since i ask sc to use fully synthetic she said i still need to come after 3 month just to change oil filter ???? Wtf

guys need to check with you, do you experience when reversing the car, the car jerking like is not smooth to reverse. so far i google and find the solution is to flash the firmware of our cvt ecu.

any1 done it and solve the problem? and where do you guys do it, beside COE.

They charge like rm70 additional for doing so ...

u try to warm up ur car till 3 bar only reverse, c hows it goes...

depend usage, always hit pothole, rough road thn might need to do 10K or 20K.... if juz normal usage thn once a year also no problem geh...

hi bro reapers, the car is been running from work and home, reverse time always like that. i dont think need to warm up car for such situation, the car is warm enough to do so.

How come proton service centre don't let me service my car every 7000 when I use semi synthetic when I know a semi synthetic oil can run 7000 km ?

They only allow semi synthetic 5000 and full synthetic 10000....

I was planning to save a rm100 instead of using full synthetic and run the semi synthetic for 7000 km .... haiz. .. am I getting conned by the sc?

Mine SE 1.6, experience the same thing. 1 time engine even die.
I check with proton at Tampin, they say just only received ECU software latest for SE early this year. Last year they only get for flx 1.3.
My appointment is next week to flash ECU. Will see if got any improvement.

Btw, just wanna if anyone here got put nitrogen for tyre. Is it ok to mix with normal gas at petrol station? Any side effect/downside

Semi synthetic also 10000 KM. That is minimal to keep warranty. Change SC that allow 10000 KM interval as stated in manual

But will it spoil the car engine if run semi synthetic for 10000 km ? That's like above 3000 km from its normal life spend

If you're gonna mix normal air with nitrogen then it will just become normal air, means you've wasted money on the nitrogen.

Perodua and Toyota are also giving 10k km OCI with semi syn EO.
