how great can this be... open world + great action in middle earth ~~~

last time EA's LOTR action game was ok but kinda fastfood, now I put lots of hope on this one!

I have faith in their production values based on these good games I like

Middle Earth strategy game was awesome and previous LOTR game like Fellowship of the Ring, 2 Towers, Return of the King is one of the old great games as well.
Should be fun, lets wait for more gameplay footage

Prefer open game with random spawn NPCs. Can visit all the famous places like Rivendell and Minas Tirith.

Played for 3 hours, pretty nice. The captains can really run away fast if they are losing.

edit: no visible lag for me even when in a 15 orc fights, i5 and amd 7850. Texture left at medium.

One word for this game : Never regret pressing BUY!!.
this game is awesome with its good battle style taken from batman and free to roam map. not mentioning even tho it is HIGH setting for now, the graphic is already breathtaking to enjoy it every moment.
It really does give a feel on Mordor with its dark environment.
Nemesis system is great as well letting you to choose your nemesis and i even been given mercy for not killing me and got revenge icon on that particular A-hole

N it does not been over promise on the game graphic or etc unlike WD which, well you guys know.

What is best settings for people who uses R9 290? I don't see AA options in this game though. Also, screen tearing is noticeable but if enable V-Sync then FPS drop.

my wasd keys go whack..

combat is similar to batman arkham series, but much harder. the finishing moves animation is slow, so hard to finish off an enemy if there are other enemies around.

really have fun time in combat

Nope, but i up a bit on the aiming sensitivity and pick a good spot to see their head, but i dont do long range shooting though.

Definitely would recommend a controller to play this game. Xbox 360 controller maybe.
Too much buttons to press to do stuff and I doubt it's really fun playing on a keyboard.

i jump in with my controller as such game which is same as AC & Batman is best to play with controller for me.

i guess most ppl didn't knew this. even myself not knowing this until i follow what's happening in this thread and steam thread.

I made an imba elite captain because that bugger is:

1. Ranged attack
2. Would flee
3. Fire damage
4. Has lots of goon following
5. suka2 enraged
6. Instant death to player
7. Got raped few times.

There were 2 kaptens appeared at the same battle but luckily the Batman fighting style skill kicks in.

even cpu need i7 3770
plan to get gtx970 but still not enough for ultra

make them fight among themselves

hence that arrow to feet pretty important lol. one of the first skill that i knew would be handy.

I'm running GTX970. Highest FPS is 200 and average is 76. All settings in Ultra.

Getting raped a few times in the game is quite normal.
If possible to make things more interesting don't kill the boss so that they can revenge against you in the future.
Also try not to die, because those who killed and survived fighting you will get promoted.

except if the captain/warchief have ranged defense, it won't work.

yeah I should add, that bugger also immune to sneak/ledge/range attack.

grow them to get better reward

I still dont bother with nemesis system i think.Last time i visit stronghold suddenly got 3-4 captain there, lucky i release all the caradors and make them mine. The game should have tamed carador whistle call. I want to bring my caradors along.

got 1 bloody captain now promoted to Legendary Captaion with 20 pwr ady.. fark he always kill me in battle..

overall the game is sweet! graphic is awesome

Damn, highest i fought was main mission orc warchief power 15-16 and it was tough enough fighting in the stronghold.

That is because you always get killed by him la dia jadi more power.

during that time i keep pressing space bar and attack from behind..
really need to dodge those other orcs..
so now ratbag take his place and they are 3 other warchief i need to hunt..

main problem for me now is i spent too much time killing the captains and minions orcs..
hahha.. it is too much fun till i nvr bother to do main quest

The faster ground execution skill is really nice, when you have 4-5 orcs laying down you can thin down the horde a bit while some 10 others trying to stab you.

On stronghold i just lure them to ledge and stealth kill them there and hide a bit before coming back again. The game is really a good time waster, started playing and then 3 hours already passed.

Yeah thats the guy.I done 2 of gollum mission, currently running around collecting the FORCE for tier unlock. Night time can be full of those ghul, i dont think you can counter them at all. Luckily they are easy to kill.

You like mowing down orcs?You'll sure love it then. Bad thing i think with this game are
-no other type of weapons and skill tree for those weapons.
-no armor types to be found/used
-saving game is like checkpoint/auto save type.

How is this game even bad? A must buy for sure. Unless you hate killing those Orcs.

Fought a 5 captains + 15 minions battle.Feels good man.Those "no stealth kill" and guardian orc captain are a pain.

ah those guys normall need that F thingy. do a that R impact on everybody hack and slash.
then go on the captain/warchief with 2+F until it drains and keep repeating.

so far seriously other than this one encouter where i was stuck with no way out..... this game aint hard.

always keep one arrow for escape.

for me is those shield dudes in mass melee.. one two ok.. but 4-5.. thats how i died was trying to escape but continuous space bar and warchief will just throw u back.

after that one death.. i always kill them first from range.

leaderboards are full with ppl who cheat. no way like that 30 minute one .. looking at his score he did it in 5 minutes.
