Hi evoHahn,
I've surveyed almost all the listings for Ford Focus Sport that's currently available on sale. Saw about 15 units of them and test drove 9 of them before settling with what I'm currently getting, a Midnight Sky unit. Needless to say, I have seen Focii Sport ranging from very bad to near mint running conditions.
There are about 165-170 listings on Carlist now for both the sedan and the sport, but in actual fact there are probably only about 20 odd unique units on sale; the rest are duplicate posts or the same car that was bounced from one dealership to another.
This black unit stands out as being the only 1.5 EcoBoost unit on sale, and I've seen the car myself. I can confirm that they did not allow test drive, and only allow startup of the car. Even then the vibration of the engine is harsh (bad mountings perhaps) and there are indeed fresh paint marks on the rear and front of the car. It was a bit out of my budget but I went on to look at it anyway, giving it a benefit of doubt being one of the newer units on sale. It's not worth the time.
I dare to say that out of the 15 units that I've seen, only 2 or 3 units has full service record and untampered odometer (I've learned the signs to see the tampered mileage as well). There is one particular 2.0 S+ unit that stands out among the rest with a tampered odometer and incomplete service record, but the price is a bit on the higher side. I can share more with you or anyone who is on the lookout for a used Mk3 Focus, if you are interested.
