If they drive my car on some bad rough roads, surely they will hear the rattling sound. If they say they cannot hear anything, there must be something wrong with their ears.

I hope they can fix it. The rattling sound only comes up when the car is subjected to some vibration when going over bad uneven-surfaced roads. On good roads, the car is quiet.

The dragging sound is quite similar to engine braking sound. If you are not familiar with engine braking sound, it is the sound where the car descends along a steep slope, say going down from Genting Highlands. The car will automatically apply the brakes (with the engine) which results in high RPM. It sounds like the gear is dragging before it upshifts to a higher gear. This sound is not present before the clutch replacement.

If you do not experience any differences in sound before and after the clutch replacement, that means there is something wrong with my car. I will highlight this when I visit the service centre soon.

Grinding sound is different. I have to say after the clutch replacement, the grinding sound is gone. I do not hear any grinding sound anymore. Before the clutch replacement, there is grinding sound especially when the car is climbing a steep slope at low speed.

To further expand on the acceleration, the acceleration is still powerful after the clutch replacement. IT's just that the surge is slightly more restrained and not as instantaneous as before the clutch replacement. It's not a big difference but after driving for 2 years I felt this small but tangible difference in the acceleration.

Ok thanks for the information. My 60,000 km last free service is coming soon. Just a bit concerned that they do not replace the wiper and brake pad, and from 70,000 km service onwards owners will have to pay for these replacements.

battery only 1 time FOC within warranty period.
for my case, able to get wiper. not able to get brake pad due to at that time, it still consider good. so i guess, depends on SC
now im approaching 90k, need to change brake pad. Quoted price RM471.

3 years of fofo driver here, kinda disappointed with the car, so far with 60k mileage under the hood, being servicing the car on time , either 10k or 6 months.

early this year, my car clutch was replace due to leak, now old problem come out again. I was driving my car early in the morning , after 20min of driving , the car suddenly sort of like chock a bit , and engine light on. This is quite normal for my car , as this happen to me bout 5 time in 3 years time. Gear shifting at low gear kinda turn to shit, take quite some time to change gear. Some more it won't go in to reverse gear.

i need to power down the engine and start it again only the car able to shift into reverse gear. it quite annoying, and the engine light is still on.

Mostly this can be fix but driving in to the service center and they will reset something and told me that it just a bug.

Oh did i tell you it took me a year of waiting list to change my clutch?

Thanks for the response. The defective steering rack is something new to me. Do they have any explanation on why or how the steering rack has failed with your vehicle although I understand the defect is due to the design.

Lastly, may I know the estimated mileage of your car when the steering rack failed. It is surprising that the new steering rack that replaced the defective one also malfunctioned for the 2nd time.

Your car certainly has traveled quite a bit having clocked 75,000 km mileage. My car is almost at the same age as yours at 3 years 1 month old, though the mileage is about 37,000 km.

Normal wear and tear parts are expected and it is just the cost of the parts that may be a concern. From what I understand there are workshops outside of Ford's authorised service centres that may have these wear and tear parts at cheaper prices. With a mileage of more than 60,000 km, the maintenance cost would be higher with some of the parts due for replacement.

Hi guys, Im experiencing very annyoing rattling sound on lower front passenger side. I think below glove box. Always can hear this sound during slow acceleration. Tried few SC but all failed to identify the problem. Last time told me its bcoz of clutch but then already replaced new one but the sound is still there. Anybody out there got same problem as mine?

The rattle sound have nothing to do with suspension bcoz its only there when i hit the accelerator. I am suspecting timing chain but im not sure. Whenever im going above 50 km/h it'll be smooth. The problem only persist durinflg startup slow acceleration.
