Hi guys,

I just received my ford focus S+ candy red today. Just to check those with 2014 model, how many USB port you guys have? Those with 2013 model should have 2 USB port - one inside the glove compartment and the other inside the arm rest right? But mine only 1 - inside the arm rest and there none at the glove compartment. Is it because 2014 model only have 1 USB port??? I already told my SA about this and he say he will come back to me tomorrow .. zzz

Another thing is my SA told me to before how to check the your car manufacture year by looking at the tag at your seat belt - if your is manufacture in 2013 it will show year 2013... but today when i checked with him, the year is Oct 2013 instead of 2014!! When I told him this, he have no idea and ask me to complain to Sime Darby... However under my car card and Puspakom cert, it wrote Car made in 2014... Anyone know how to check the car manufacture date from the car itself instead looking at the seat belt tag??

If it is not the same, print it out & show your SA

Thanks for the info.. my car really manufacture in 30 Oct 2013 but under my Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia it says Tahun Dibuat: 2014... zzzz
Gonna complain to Sime darby already...

Just to clarify with you guys.. FoFo only got 1 USB port right? Those 2013 model should be inside the glove compartment while mine is inside the arm rest.

Nah...not gonna keep quiet on this... the reason was that when i purchase the car, i insisted to have the 2014 made model, whereby the SA was pushing me to get the 2013 made model.

Yup, got discount of 5.5k for the 2014 model, if i was to take the 2013 model, the discount is 11k...

Means that I'm paying more now since I'm taking the 2013 model, and it will affect my resale value next time as well.. Btw, I'm enjoying every second on this ride thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

mine which was told by my SA was made in 2014, the USB port is inside the arm rest, while the 2013 model USB port is inside the glove compartment.

I've problem with them since in my JPJ card, my car made is 2014 while at www.etis.ford.com, my car made is Oct2013. Please double check you car manufactured date with you SA to confirm it is really a 2014 make model.

hi guys, do any1 of you know where i can replace my ford focus (Y2014) car battery in klang valley? The SC quoted me RM500 for the battery replacement which i find it quite expensive, is currently looking for alternative. TQ

You can look for Century Continental battery as an alternative. Century customer support will be able to advise where you can get the battery. It's listed on their webpage. They will recommend the right battery for you also in accordance with the type of car that you drive. A caveat is the CCA is below the specification of the original battery in the Ford Focus. Not really an issue, according to the Century technical guy as CCA is cold cranking in cold-climate countries, not applicable in hot weather countries like Malaysia. Only issue is the warranty. Hence it is advisable to keep the original battery of your Ford Focus, just in case if you experience "issues" with the car in future and need to claim warranty.

Hi guys,

Do you guys know where i can make an official complaint to Ford customer care? For your info, i own a ford focus MK3 and I've sent it to Ford Kinrara for repair on the 28th Jan due to my gear can't engage to reverse.

So on the 28th Jan, the service advisor at Ford Kinrara told me that they need to change the TCM and it is still under warranty (10 years for TCM), took the whole day to change and at the end of the day, told me that they need further checking as the problem still persists. To cut the story short, so for the whole 1 month++ until today(keep checking, dismantling the gearbox, send report to HQ etc), they have submitted the report to their HQ and waiting for the warranty dept to verify if this is under warranty claim.

I've been calling them almost every single day for an update, and they keep saying waiting for HQ to reply and when i ask the magic question "When the car is ready?", they will say need to check with HQ. Imagine i'm without my car for the whole 1 month ++ and i still need to wait again. If under warranty, then they need to wait the insurance guy to verify the claim, then order parts, then wait for parts etc - it will be another 2 months??

So do you guys have an idea where and who shall i complaint to and escalate this issues?
