i owned a fiesta... i had grinding issue getting worse so i brought it back to service centre for diagnostic... it is found that the clutch has worn out to the point it is not safe to go on long distance trip without replacing the pack (took me 2 days without car).
so replaced under warranty and now minimal jerking with no grinding noise. the car was 2 years old... and in Australia..
Is SDAC willing to change the clutch pack or has anyone got it replaced under warranty?

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Feb 23 2014, 06:49 PM) May I ask where did you buy the Fiesta and at what mileage the clutch pack was replaced? Is the service centre where the replacement had taken place in Malaysia or Australia? my replacement was made at 40k km. It was in Australia.

QUOTE(kaiyikJr @ Jun 10 2014, 11:47 PM) mine which was told by my SA was made in 2014, the USB port is inside the arm rest, while the 2013 model USB port is inside the glove compartment. I've problem with them since in my JPJ card, my car made is 2014 while at www.etis.ford.com, my car made is Oct2013. Please double check you car manufactured date with you SA to confirm it is really a 2014 make model. Will do this weekend..

i can't wait to get my hands on the focus.... slight delay in key hand over.
can i know if the ambient lighting continue to turn on when driving? Is it just at the footwell or both footwell and at sunglass holder when on the move at night?
i have not seen the car interior at night but i really hoped to be impressed.

I have got my car yesterday, made and registered in 2014. Drove from KL to Penang today and i must admit, like fiesta it handles well but with more composure, power and comfort. Very impressed with the tech packaged in this car although some oversea markets are even better specced.
Now that the car scored its first 500km on the highway, i started to experience heavy jerking sometimes when in the stop and go traffic situation. At times, i heard clutch grinding alike sound when upshifting at low speed.it all happened during full auto mode.
Is this something many have experienced and will go off once the clutches are fully run in or should i be worrying? I have experienced such juddering effect in my previous fiesta and had the clutch pack replaced.
Another thing is, is there a way to activate the led running lights permanently. Currently, mine turns on only when car doors are opened or when lights are switched on.

the jerking is supposed to be apparent for new cars, then it smoothens out after first service (must be fully run in already). this is my experience so far. been with this car for 6 months already, must say it is getting better.
however, I still can't prevent the car from vibrating and jerking especially at slow and stop movement in car park and humps. liken this to driver with bad clutch handling.
i noticed also that the clutch is engaged when the brake is pressed only lightly. press slightly deeper then you notice less vibration at stop traffic, as the car goes into neutral idle.
i hope my car stays this way: obedient. i owned a fiesta powershift before and had the clutch pack changed at 25000km as it is fully weared out (under warranty). Before I change the pack, I always have grinding sound in between first and second gear.. and it gets more often.

i replaced my clutch pack and had the TCM updated 3 months ago. so far so good, having driven 5km since, the car behaves well. of course at low speed, the car can be jerky at times but it is as expected for dual clutch transmission car.
my car is coming to 3 years now. the trick is to adjust driving style and get the feel how the transmission works, it is not going to be like the conventional auto or cvt...
my last car was a fiesta, bought used when oversea from a car dealer. I had the clutch replaced only once... considering prior to my ownership, the car was a rental car by Thrifty's.
