May I ask the symptoms that had initiated the clutch assembly replacement on your vehicle? Moderate to severe jerking at low speed acceleration?
*
yup. I'd called it slippage. especially on a hot weather or you've driven it long. It'll happen.

Got it change and i drove it back to ipoh on the next day. I'm not sure it's the new clutch needing a run-in or not or maybe they might've updated the firmware, let's say on 5/6th gear and cruising at sub 2k rpm, the engine vibrates.

a downshift would help but before the clutch change, i dont notice any vibration at all.

any of you guys experiencing this? highest gear, cruising at 2k rpm and lower.

give it more time see how? in normal manual clutch itself will vibrate to sync with flywheel thats when u feel power is losing, i believe is the clutch vibration
*
LOL Wing, so you're here too.

I know it would sync with the flywheel. Previously i dont have the vibrating sensation prior to changing to a new set of clutch assembly and now i have it which begs the question why/how is it happening.

Left my car there for a week as I went overseas for work, took them 2 days to do everything including 40k major service.

I confirm that I am experiencing this as well after changing clutch pack and also transmission internals. Engine vibrates and struggles a bit in 6th gear, unless you apply more gas which will drop the gears, the engine will continue vibrating. Can be tested in S mode and just move all the way up to 6th gear, cruise at 120km/h, and slowly step on gas pedal.

Prior to clutch pack and transmission change, car will just accelerate very slowly using 6th gear without vibrating.

Now not only this problem is new, I can also feel my steering wheel giving lots of vibration feedback once the car moves. I'm not sure if it's an alignment or balancing issue as I still haven't done it. If it is still there after balancing and alignment, I will return my car again. It is giving my hands the 'pins and needles' feeling everything I drive because that's how bad it is..

They have fixed some of my previous problems but now I have new ones. Engine vibration at idle is STILL there and the guys have literally told me they can't fix it. I will update here again.

My suspicion on the lack of torque (causing the vibration) is due to the new firmware they applied. When i sent in for 10k service last time, the SA told me there's a new firmware but it'll gives slower response and that he decided not to update for me. fast forward to the time i change the clutch pack which was 25k, they updated it.

i guess that could be the reason why i felt that it vibrates; lack of torque on high gear @ low rpm.... just like driving a manual car

hi Guys,

I am looking at a used FoFo tdci 2.0. Need some advice on this car as it is not
much can be seen on the road.

1. i need a fuel saving car.
2. i drive a lot in the city even during traffic jam. (sales job)
3. is pare parts available for this model from SDAC,
4. how about workshop outside? can they fix my car if there is
a problem?
5. is the maintenance for more expansive then a honda civic of same year?

i need a reliable car for daily used.

thank you in advance

Diesel sure saves fuel... the expensive part when you do regular maintenance is the diesel filter iinm.

Parts? just go to Excellent Auto to fix you car since it's not under warranty anymore.
cost to maintain sure is higher than jap cars coz the parts are limited in stock and also it is a "conti" car after all.

thankz for your reply....

parts r more expensive i understand,
but will i need to wait like 2 weeks for parts to arrive?
or is readily available ?
*
You'd have to wait if they dont have it in stock or any other part dealers doesnt have stock.

Kinrara SC broke my headlamp adjustment arm and dont want to claim responsibility saying that it's my fault... had it changed from a half cut lol. if not i'd be paying 3.8k
