Why bitcomet block my ip?I dont understand.I cant start my download at all

You use auto dialing to Streamyx or manual dialing?
I have the same yellow icon as you because I am using auto dialing, last time when I was using manual dialing I got green colour icon.
However, my downloads still run despite the yellow icon.


Recently, my BitComet is running superb slow. I've just changed my Streamyx package to 512kbp/s because nobody is using it at home when I am away for my studies in other state. I have never expected such big difference compared to 1Mbp/s. I am using BitComet 0.97 version by the way.

u mean ur speed is slow becoz of 512 packages?

The Light Green / Yellow doesn't matter.. I still get the same download speed.. It's about the seeders..

What file you downloading? Maybe I can help you download then send to you via MSN ..

Btw, if your download speed is bad.. Try to get IP like 60.54.xx.xx .. Then stop the download.. Start again.. Everytime my download drop till 20kb/s.. I stop it and start again.. Will shoot back to 100+ kb/s but it all depend on seeders..

i'm also just using 512 package.. can get 65+kB/s

of course its really slow when compare to 1Mbp/s package

I suspect because last time when I was using 1MB line I can get around 120+kB

I'm not that lucky to get 65kB.
Always stuck at 30+kB

Erm.. Let say my download now 180kb/s .. Then after several hours.. Maybe I surf net or download other stuff.. It will slowly decrease to 50kb/s.. I stop it.. Then start again.. Will get back 150kb/s ~ 180kb/s.. It works for me though..

what's the matter?


Btw, I am damn frustrated with this 0.97 .. Previously I use 0.94 no problem.. This 0.97 give me problem when i leave it for a night.. My download at 180kb/s suppose to get 50% + today but only at 2.8% coz the damn error..

so, after you got 180kBps, the speed is constant 180kBps??
or you need to restart the task always to get 180kBps??

Because if a person get temporary "high" speed when restart the task, it is just an "illusion"...

btw, I have no problem in v0.97...... still using it now...
maybe have to wait for v0.98 to fix your bug...

I seriously don't know what is happening to my BitComet or my line really has problem. No matter which version of BitComet I am using, I just can't get good download speed. It is always stuck at below 50kB and I am using an 512kB line, I shouldn't expect such bad download speed right?

Can anyone kind enough and tell me what did you do with the connection settings of BitComet? Please enlighten me.

I did try the Turbo BitComet which was introduced in another thread, it worked but it really hogged up a lot of my bandwidth that I hardly can surf to any website.

yup, 512kb u can usually get around 5x kbps only like me.

if u feel lagging when surf net, u can try use opera instead like me did.

So sad... So, I have followed your advice to use Opera and my surfing is faster now, despite my turbo bitcomet is turned on

Yes the modded BC 0.66. It still hogs up my bandwidth, still slow for me to surf the Internet despite I am using Opera now.

i guess it has nothing to do with BC, should be our friendly ISP
and the yellow/green light sometimes jz false, if u getting connection from both local and remote, then u no need to bother bout the light... and speed... depends on seed and isp shaping... fyi, my total dl amount for the last 3months is just the same number no matter how much i dl...

u can oair it up with naviscope.
