I believe that the OTA are control by the IMEI of the Set, which my fren's set shows 10B HKG where else mine shows 20A-HKG

I think this due to Controling System by LG, they update their devices via Imei No and not by Region.
Example, if u brought the device from Europe, if ur Imei has update than U will get the OTA where ever u are..

Alternatively U can flash KDZ file manually, but when comes to Software Update via OTA, u will get this Message "Your phone is not registered yet." How I know ? I used LG Optimus 4X before, I found this at XDA forum.

Bro, U need to have Stock Recovery in order to get OTA, If u have Custom Recovery, U still able to download OTA but cant install it and u will get Bootloop at LG Logo as it will check whether u have stock recovery or not. (Source from XDA forum)

Few frens of mine has these code :AMALBK no update at all since they brought since 3 months ago. Even one of them flashed manually the Malaysia KDZ file (D80210d-MYS-XX), did not got any update as it shows "The device software has latest software" when he runs OTA. This was yesterday night when i met him.

Currently most of LG G2 which sold here are having this Code. So nothing cant be done at our side unless LG update this code with 20A version which i feel not this moment.

Manual Flash the Stock Rom should be having no risk as i did quite many times.
