I believe he is trying his best to bring in players, especially when we r in a quite bad position now.

Leighton Baines is close to agreeing a new long-term deal to stay at Everton.

Former Toffees manager David Moyes twice failed in his efforts to take the 29-year-old England left-back with him to Manchester United last summer.

Now Everton are increasingly confident they will shortly be able to confirm Baines, who signed for £6m from Wigan in August 2007, has committed the rest of his top-flight career to the club.

It is thought the deal could be worth £75,000 per week to Baines.

Astori sounds realistic and interesting, he might as well be direct replacement for evra, hence Rafael get the license to move forward more.

he's been playing at left back at some occasions, left-footed, has decent technique, in case you're not aware.

Definitely not a direct replacement for evra because that's not even his original position. He's well known for being a centre-back(Great replacement for vidic). You can check the positions he has played this season: http://www.whoscored.com/Players/44643/

i expect Moyes will buy a CM, if he allow Anderson to leave this January. not a big name for sure, but we will pay above market price, as we are desperate and rumour said we have a massive transfer kitty.

the big purchase only happen in the next summer. a CM, a LB and Rooney saga will resume again.

with all the travels, i dont think we'll get anyone in. It's more like early preparation for a busy summer.

in fact, i see this transition period the same when saf just took over and cleaned up the squad with beer that time. well, only thing is this time is without the beer part.

read an article from robbie savage in bbc that 12 players should leave. oso the Big Dane said that the hunger + spirit in the squad is no longer there compared to those days.

no hunger, no spirit, no keano-esque fire in the squad. dun blame all these to DM alone.

Wigan boss has agreed to reassess the situition of powell in the last week of january.

We can expect to see a CM joining us if anderson does leave. Its either powell or mystery midfielder!

So far, i did not see any impact on Anderson. Right now Rooney is doubt for Chelsea match, i think will be the same player vs Swansea to take on Chelsea.

Roo and RVP both out, still am happy to see kagawa and Janu at their right position and doing their best.

Gundogan saying he might decide his future soon, so, maybe a 0.1% chance? tongue.gif

I don't see that we will get anyone too. praying we can reach top 4 for UCL spot. Heard that nani and ando is leaving, and maybe fabio, vida, and evra too.

here's the link on the robbie savage article. some truth in it. but pinch of salt tho. it all depends on DM, the chosen one.
